We loved the location. We could walk everywhere we wanted to go. It was a nice break from being in Rome because it was NOT crowded. There were no other tourists so we pretty much had the location to ourselves. I liked the shower/bath combo, because most places we stayed had a shower small enough for a 2 x 4 board and this place had the combo which gave more room while bathing. We stayed at a big name hotel in Rome just before this location and we were a bit apprehensive as we parked on the street and went in, but after the reception person showed us the room and where breakfast is, and the restaurant, we were feeling more comfortable. The elevator will fit two suitcases and one person--it's small but it works! We slept well on the bed. The room has shutters inside that you can open/close. No screens but no bugs either. The window we had looked out to the main street but it was so quiet at night so we could leave the windows open. Breakfast in the morning consisted of a LOT of different foods, so you won't go hungry. Cappuccino or Americano too. It helps to have a translator on your phone or be able to speak a bit of Italian because most people we met did not speak English. There was an adorable gift shop just down the street from our room and the woman in the shop was so nice, speaking no English, but we had so much fun trying to figure out what each other was saying. There was also a little deli just a door or two away from the gift shop and the family was great. Their store is packed with anything you need for lunch or a snack. The restaurant at this hotel's location is absolutely AMAZING, service was spectacular, the food was so good, better than what we found in most of Rome. There is another restaurant/bar being redecorated just next door to this hotel and it looks so beautiful inside.
Enjoy great food and a comfortable stay at Hotel Serena. It has a panoramic view across the picturesque town of Rieti and is only 1640 feet from the center.

There was less mold in the shower area than at the Airport Hilton in Rome!

The hostess was amazing. Apart from speaking English, she helped me arrange a bus ticket and answered my questions as to getting around town. The apartment was superb! I highly recommend this place. I have traveled 2 months from hotel to hotel. This is by far the best place I stayed. Try to stay at least two days or more. The town of Reite is worth a visit of at least a few days. The place is located in a quiet ally near everything. There is reason she is rated highly at 4.6/5 on Google.

It was an extraordinary experience. When you drive to get there, it looks like to be in the moddle of nowhere, and eventually, all in a sudden, you end up being in a peaceful andamazing place. Very recommended!

If you have the misfortune of finding ypurself in reiti the only place you should consider staying is park hotel villa potenziani it is a magnificient stately home outside of reiti with pool and fabulous terraces and gardens. If u drop down into reiti avoid hotel.miramont it is most definitely NOT 4 star its reaching for a 2 star, a hostel would be more comfortable. The shopping is purely to reach into the tourist's pocket, the "designer" labels are suspect and do not buy the so called steve madden originals you will be sorely disappointed, the only good thing in reiti is the road out of it!

Rieti is an underrated gem of a city, small enough to feel very manageable and safe, while still offering many great restaurants and beautiful churches in a lovely natural setting, with the river and the view of the mountains. It would make a great base for exploring the surrounding Sabina region or doing some serious hiking or skiing. Also very convenient for the Franciscan sanctuaries in the surrounding hills.

Rieti as a town is beautiful at night.
Rieti as a town is beautiful at night. However when I booked the hotel i was not informed of the festa del pepperoncino. All roads were closed off. I was stuck in the car in the town with nowhere to go. In the end I parked up behind a police car when I was told I could not park. I was desparate....an elderly couple came to my rescue. The woman sat in the car with me and showed me how to get to the underground car park (which was in the centre of the Festa!) but I got there in the end. The couple spent the evening showing me around.
Reception were not helpful and did not even give me the password for the wifi.. I had to go down to get this from them. Because of my experience I would not stay here again, or at least avoid all the confusion!

Rieti is quite a dirty and dusty city.
Rieti is quite a dirty and dusty city. It is not very well kept, the buildings need a lot of maintenance. Other cities in the surroundings, like Terni and Spoleto are much better kept. The closest hills to Rieti are absolutely gorgeous. The Franciscan walk ways are very nice and the sanctuaries are an oasis of quietness and located on spectacular sites.

Chiara is a wonderful host. She's friendly and helpful. We asked her a few additional services and she was ready to help at any time. The appartment is cosy and nice & well equipped. Nicely situated in Rieti. Only 10 minutes walk from the train station. I think a only missed the possibility to sit outside (there's no terrace), but the appartment is next to a bigger place and at only 50 meters of the riverside, so there are many opportunities to sit outside anyway.
The hotel is in an 18th century hunting lodge and is therefore in a really interesting building. Many if the original features can still be seen. In mid September it felt like we almost had the hotel to ourselves! Staff were very helpful - we were on bikes and the hotel restaurant was closed on a Monday as were most of the restaurants in town. But they found us a restaurant and a taxi (there’s only one in town!).
Buffet style breakfast was really good with lots of varieties to choose from. Yoghourts, cheeses, cold meats, cereals, White and brown bread. Lots of fruits available. Coffee, teas and juices all available. Hotel is centrally located in the town with many restaurants, bistros, coffee bars nearby. We visited five/six during our weekend stay, and we will come again sometime in the future.
Low season I guess; but I was able to enjoy a very early check-in with a room ready. Super happy! Thank you!
Great cleaning.
Amazing staff at breakfast. Very kind man!
Very Good breakfast!
Location perfect: right in front of the bus stop going to Terminillo.
No dinner in hotel available. But good restaurants in town for great prices.
we went in off season so the outside facilities were closed - it is on a huge property with tennis courts pools and maybe trails - looks like you could stay for a week but your really close to Rome and a couple miles from Reiti— they must do weddings there — a slightly dusty grand old hotel - dusty=old
It was a great place to rest and take a break from my road trip. Rieti was a really nice surprise and the stay at Casa di Mamma definitely helps me want to go back. The managers are extremely friendly and helpful, and others in the family run a excellent pizza place/restaurant in town.
The property is a lot bigger than we expected. It's a fully furnished apartment. The location is close enough to the center of Rieti but it is extremely quiet. We slept really well. Our host was very helpful and was there to greet us when we had planned.
Beautiful location in the heart of Rieti with a magnificent views. If you are looking for a Hilton, Sheraton super comfortable and accommodating experience look elsewhere, but if you want to have an authentic experience, this is a hotel for you.
the villa is so well appointed and absolutely beautiful. it is in a great location for visits to the Franciscan sites in the Rieti valley, and is so peaceful. the couple overseeing the villa are very friendly and very attentive to any need.
Beautiful and grand hotel in the prettiest plaza of Rieti. Large and nicely appointed rooms overlooking the main square. Extremely cordial and helpful staff, particularly Marco. Excellent breakfast. Impeccable service. Highly recommended!
