My grandfather's birthplace. The town is truly charming and La Rupe is a superb place to stay. Big enough for a family of 6. Redone with impeccable taste and care. It's an old town and only one bar. But so close to towns at bottom of hill with plenty of choices for food and drinks. The hosts are delightful and helpful. I could see spending a whole summer in this rustic medieval village. Could not recommend more highly

Everything was great! My dad and I were visiting our family in Calvello, and the staff recognized our names immediately. We felt very welcome right away, and the room was very clean and comfortable. The restaurant was also a hot spot for locals and the food was AMAZING. Highly recommend staying here

Staff was very helpful, kind, and willing to offer local hiking suggestions. The room and overall Castel restoration were great. My room actually had a preserved bird's nest behind glass to make sure no birds were left homeless in the course of the renovation. High-quality materials throughout. An elevator!
