La Thuile is a beautiful, quiet and family-friendly village.
La Thuile is a beautiful, quiet and family-friendly village. I visited with my girlfriend, so I didn't go looking for too many Après-Skis. Everything is relatively close and there are some good restaurants.
Some of the ski lifts could have been more up-to-date, but nothing negative.

La Thuile is a quiet resort with a decent number of good restaurants and nice shops selling local produce. The ski area is fantastic and the fact that you can ski into La Rosiere and it's ski area is brilliant. Although we didn't take advantage of it, the general Aosta valley areas are linked up and you can use a six day ski pass in specified other ski areas in the valley for two of those days, so there's a lot of variety. I'm also told that your ski pass gets you on to the ski bus services, and the Mont Blanc Skyway cable car (though I believe the cable car uses both of your 'non LaThuile' day passes - but it's a huge saving. It's super easy to get to by car from Turin, the atmosphere in the village is nice, the mountain bars and restaurants are good and reasonably priced. I'd go back again for sure.

We were delighted to discover charming La Thuile in the Italian Alps. We only shuttled between our accommodation and the ski station with our family of four. But, we were delighted with the surroundings of the charming town and mountains. The ski station was friendly, uncrowded, easy and perfect for families. Food on the mountain was good and not too expensive. In town there are no major grocery stores, but we found a little shop (Il Castello Ortofrutta E Alimentari) with all the food essentials and excellent local products. Driving in town was easy, but on the more crowded weekends parking at the station filled up quickly. The free town shuttle makes a good option. We had a fantastic sojourn and cannot return to experience the summer and another ski trip.

La Thuile is a small scale resort with an enormous number of ski pistes, thanks to its connection to La Rosière. It feels more authentic and less industrial than most Alpine ski resorts. It is relatively family friendly and good value for money
My wife and I had such a great time staying here for 4 nights. The staff were so nice and the service was excellent. Felt truly welcome. Great room (beautiful, clean, spacious, very good shower), very nice Spa, delicious breakfast. This hotel and our stay in La Thuile was highlight of our Italy trip.
The area is stunning with the mountains all around and we enjoyed hiking nearby Rutor waterfalls which was amazing as well as visiting Courmayeur and Chamonix.
The hosts were just the nicest people. So welcoming and accommodating! They made the whole stay exceptional. The breakfast had a nice bit of variety from delicious meats, to local cheeses, to soft/medium/hard boiled eggs and yogurts + lots of cereals. Oh also fresh bread and croissants. Really I left every morning bordering on too full, but it was great for skiing. The showers were wonderfully hot with great pressure.
The apartment is spatious and well equipped and 4 persons can spend there a good time. We slept well in the beds, the kitchen is fuctional with a large fridge, toaster, several pots and good pans. The bus stop is close and you can easily walk from the slope to the apartment. In the basement it has its own functional ski and boot storage with boot warmer. So we had a good time.
Incredible kindness of owners. Having found ourselves stuck in La Thuile with only our ski gear (that’s another story), we discovered Hotel Du Glacier through Booking.com. The owners sorted out our restaurant booking (fabulous meal), provided us with shoes, toiletries, slippers etc.
Nice homely hotel, and excellent breakfast selection with fresh bread and coffee.
Thanks!
Very sympathetic small family run hotel in the heart of La Thuile. We liked our room, which was spacious and had a whirlpool. The decor is quirky, but adds a lot of personality to the place. The staff was extremely friendly to the point that they wouldn't accept tip. It was a lovely stay and we would like to return. Lindsay Vonn stayed here!
the location is great, amongst the local old houses. very close to town, a little walk to the ski slopes.
It’s a little gem with the history which is reflected by decorations around the hotel.
spa area small, but private and very clean.
the staff were amazing, very helpful.
don’t forget to check out the wine tasting room.
Staff at the hotel were wonderfully friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was delicious and fresh, classic European breakfast with local additions, e.g. Mont Blanc yoghurt. Great ski room facilities and location - about 8 minutes walk to the gondola. Parking over the road at £5 per day, conveniently controlled via an app.
Very spacious, comfortable and warm apartment. 12 minute walk to the main ski area or ski bus stop adjacent to the apartment
Secure spacious underground car park
Greeting and tour of the apartment provided by the owner, supported on the phone by his daughter who spoke excellent english
Virtually slope side accommodation and very comfortable. Large enough for 4 people comfortably. Parking spot, very handy in La Thuile and walkable to most of the town. There is a pizza restaurant almost next door which i assume is very good as i could never get a table.
We have spent amazing week in this hotel: clean spacious and modern rooms with huge bathrooms, underground parking, ski room with heated rack for boots, but most importantly - fantastic staff which was extremely helpful and welcoming!
Location was perfect next door to Gondola and chair lift so easy access to ski slopes. Bedrooms are superb and food was very nice. Restaurant and cleaning staff absolutely lovely.
Really great place. Short walk to ski slopes, there is a ski bus but we just walked each day. Great hosts who did a great breakfast. No complaints and would go again
