It's close to Merano (which is much better known and visited), and also fairly touristy, but with the businesses aimed more at cultured tourists rather than mass tourism (not sure if there were any chain hotels there), interested in arts and finer dining. I landed there by very lucky accident (due to problems booking a room in Merano).

It is also pretty close to the center of the city. On days of relaxation, we could also enjoy the indoor pool or sunbathe in the yard. We often dined on the balcony, enjoying the wonderful view of the surroundings.
