We went there during a busy month, August, and the place was lively. We strolled along the alleys of the Central Park where people can enjoy an ice-cream or kurttoskolac. Just before you enter the park, on the right, there's a nice restaurant though we had to wait a little for the food to be served. And if you love hiking, there are different paths you could enjoy. We were advised to follow the red cross path which took us to Obcina Mare where we enjoyed some good food and nice view at Cabana Gigi Ursu. Highly recommend it!CatalinRomania - 8.0Scored 8.0

The scenery is beautiful there of the mountains, go to Domeniul Dornei to relax and unwind. The facilities there excellent with an amazing view ! There is nothing else to do in Vatra Dornei, not really any attractions to visit. Just a nice place to relax.carolina.2017Ireland

Maybe 4 women we saw over several days. Breakfast buffet was very good and they serve the coffee etc. and make sure everyone has what they need. The coffee was good and it was hot (not always the case in places). Our room was good size, as we opted for more room. Had day trips. We saw the painted Monasteries while staying in Suceava and took other day trips from Vatra Dornei, eg Ciocanesti which was great.

Location is very good for a quiet and relaxing vacation, the view around is mesmerising. It is 10 min card ride to Vatra Dornei center, so it is very confortable if you want to get groceries. The hosts are very responsive to any requests, very caring as well, we were met with a desert and then with mulled wine. The house is warm in the winter and cool in the summer. I was thinking of staying in the center of town, but once I looked at the views from the windows, I knew I had to stay. Shops and restaurants are in the center of Vatra Dornei, and it is a bit of a far drive. But honestly it was worth it to be in the calm and quiet provided by Doru Muntelui.
