It was a wasted time my journey to Slănic Moldova and also the time spent there.
Slanic Moldova has nothing to offer but poorly maintained buildings, bad roads, everywhere you look you see a For Sale sign - the town looks deserted and the old, beautiful buildings, with an attractive arhitecture are either for sale or closed and left to rot.
There is only one grocery store.
In the winter time you can ski at Nemira ski slope but make sure that it has snow (you can check it live on internet).
I tried to save some of my holiday and went to visit Ghika Palace but it was also in a very bad shape, like the country has no Ministry of Culture.

Very clean, everything taken care of.

The mineral springs area is fabulous.
The restaurants in the area are excellent, at reasonable prices. Many products are from the area and cooked food predominates.
I recommend.

Great location for wandering around.
Great location for wandering around. The resort is mixed - there are refurbished hotels along with decrepit architectural jewels. There are good restaurants in the area.
The main issue I experienced - during church masses they put out the loud speakers in the park and you end up being forced to hear the religious songs instead of birds :-(

Well, if you have 80 years old and you gave up on life, YES.
Well, if you have 80 years old and you gave up on life, YES... this is the best location to say "La Vita e Bella!" Honestly, 12 years ago, this location was very populated and high maintained with various types of tourists. Now, it is so sad and old... a lot of restaurants closed their gates and there is nothing to do, except one mountain trail, two restaurants and the springs which are meant for medicinal use, only. Other than that... nothing.

It seems that Slanic Molodova used to be a highly attractive mountain station in the 70's ... but seems to slowly fading away with a lot of flat/buildings to sell ... a beautiful place anyway :)
Of course, you OUGHT to visit the famous Saline of Targu Ocna which is a very big one located 240m in the ground. It features a mini-golf, a children playground and others activities for people coming here to cure breathing problems.
The view. the room size.
in a hotel with pool in it when they need to operate daily all day the pool ,there is NO WATER in the b-rooms so there is NOT any good things to write about such a hotel. did anyone hear about such thing ? management : Didnt you think to let us know that we wont be having water to wash ourselves ?
Probleme serioase de întreținere. Ei operează o piscină în hotel și nu există apă în baie din camere din acest motiv. Oribil. hotel vechi.
Absolutely AMAZING! Mrs. Carmen is, without a doubt, the most wonderful and warm host I've EVER met! Can you believe she stayed awake until MIDNIGHT just to welcome us?! The location is a dream come true – right from the balcony, you can gaze over the entire breathtaking view of Slănic-Moldova! And, oh, the road-weary traveler's delight – just ask, and you can indulge in an AUTHENTIC Thai massage! An experience like no other!
My husband and I stay in the some of the best hotels in the world and can vouch for Vila Moldavia that its truly world class too.
Huge apartments, super clean, very friendly and professional staff. The kitchen had such amazing equipment we really enjoyed cooking. They also have massive garden with bbq and outdoor dining facilities. Walking distance to city centre. Cot available for babies. We really really loved it.
We are fans of Slanic Moldova and we enjoy few days relaxing here, every year. However, the resort is not developing as it should, and now the bears are also a problem...
Complex Panoramic is a nice little hotel, clean and with some good views.
Pro:
-spacious room, nice furniture;
-cute balcony with great view at park/mountain;
-food in own restaurant.
Perfect location, in the historical center of Slanic Moldova and just near the spring alley. Hiking trails in the surrounding mountains start in from of the hotel. Perfect room: big, clean, child friendly, nice view from the balcony. Very nice breakfast and SPA. Very helpful and cooperative staff. We plan to revisit them at least once per year.

Location and design/decor. Also the staff was friendly, but completely insufficient.
The hotel is exactly next to the central park and the therapeutical springs are very near too. The rooms are uniquely decorated and the apartment we used was really big.
Beautiful hotel, housed in a historic building dating back to 1912.

We should mention very good cuisine of the restaurant: the chef is a real professional!
Lunches and dinners were always there!
