If you don't speak Italian and you don't have your own car...
If you don't speak Italian and you don't have your own car either skip Domodossola or make sure you are staying in a place right in town. Once you leave the center of town it's not a walkable place. The drivers race everywhere despite the narrow streets, there aren't any sidewalks in the residential areas and it's extremely difficult to find anyone who can speak English.
On the positive side the prices were a lot lower for everything than in Switzerland and the architecture and scenery was beautiful.

Lovely medieval old town, nice restaurants in the main square, not many tourists there. Amazing mountain views all around .Good base for the Centovalli rail journey through to Locarno . Don’t miss the steep hillside walk up the Calvario , amazing views .

Having had a great two night stay we extended it a further two night which we quickly regretted.
The noise which started on the third night was intolerable. A local bar started blasting loud music around 5pm. The police drove passed several times but didn't intervene until around 11pm. This did not stop the music or noise. When the music stopped just before midnight we had endured it for almost 7hours non-stop. We were exhausted and the shouting of people outside (including young children at the bar) continued into the early hours of the morning. We would not return!

Beautiful little medieval centre, lots of pedestrian streets, masses of good restaurants, fabulous setting in the mountains.
Not too busy even in high summer, and friendly locals. Well-connected by trains to Switzerland and the rest of Italy.

Its a nice small city with a small historical center that you can easily walk.
The choices for dinner or drinks are more than enough and we are more than excited about the food, meaning Taste and Cost.
The main reason that we visited this city the first time was that is the best stopover visiting the Swiss Alps. Is just before the mountains. We wil definately visit this city!!
We were visiting Domodossola for the third time and thanks to our stay at this apartment it really was an exceptional experience. The best so far! Owner of the property was a super pleasant guy. He made sure we were welcomed and felt like at home. Even left us some delicius treats with our coffee. And made sure we had everything we might need after a long time spent in the mountains. So we returned back to the civilization with style. Amazingly beautiful apartment at the heart of the city. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Domodossola!
Beautifully restored historic building in centre of the old part of Domodossola. A warm welcome from Anna with recommendations for dinner in the town. Room was immaculate, clean, well equipped like a smart hotel room. Even had a mountain view from our room. Extremely well run.
Delicious and generous continental breakfast in vaulted cellar room.
Anna kindly messaged us after we left the B&B to say that we had left a bag behind meaning that we were able to go back to collect it.
Location is in a walking distance to everything you'd need in Domodossola. Hosts are super friendly and helpful, communication went smoothly though we speak different languages. Easy check-in/out, the room was clean and cosy
Overall, I had a good sleep here and would definitely consider this place if visiting Domodossola again.
Charming two bedroom suite right in the heart of Domodossola.
Everything really close , great restaurants and cafes nearby!
Parking was available and the staff was very friendly and accommodating, offering water right after we arrived. They took time to explain everything and direct us towards the highlights of the city.
This was the first time we had stopped at this hotel and it was very nice.
The staff were very friendly, helpful and pleasant.
The room was very clean and the beds were very comfortable
The bathroom was very clean and the shower was very good
The breakfast was continental and very good
A small family run Bed and Breakfast, with the best breakfast I had in years.
Only fresh and home made products. Fresh fruits, a small cake from the day before.
One can see that the restaurant and hotel has been maintained and renovated throughout the years with taste and good material
The hotel was superbly situated very close to the main town square with lots of bars and restaurants and close to the railway station. Brando stayed late to welcome us as many trains were delayed. The room was very clean and with good quality fittings. The hotel was also good value.
Perfect location for our trip, the owner Maurilio was kind, available, knowledgeable. the apartment had all the features needed and much more than that. Tons of info about Domodossola, where to go, where to eat, best places to visit…even bikes to explore the lovely town.
Stella and her husband were extremely welcoming and hospitable, providing great travel/food recommendations that made my trip better than I imagined. The hotel is in a cozy nook right beside the central plaza, it is relatively calm at night and safe for solo travelers.
Everything was excellent, the views of the city of domodossola are amazing, the house is just beautiful, peaceful place to stay. The host was just super friendly and helpful. Only kind words in regards of Villa Morro.
The owner of the place was kind and welcomed us warmly, the hotel combines an ancient building with modern rooms, I would definitely love to come back next time and I will also recommend this place to my friends
the location was excellent. very convenient to explore the town visit the market and to find local restaurants. the room is spacious and thoughtfully renovated. breakfast is ample with local products provided.
The place is exceptional, indeed : the buildings, i.e. house and annexes, as well as the garden - it’s worth stopping by. And, not the least, Domodossola is a beautiful city.
Spacious apartment, well equipped, very clean, easy parking, easy walk to center of town. Host and her family very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast very good.
The place is situated in the middle of Domodossolas Old Town, everything is in walking distance and still the nights are quite. Nice place, well equipped.
