Nicely placed city in the valley but very close to Daolasa station (6 mins with the bus) to get into the mountains. City is clean, has a number of shops and restaurants and very cool Dolomite climate to it.

Small, beautiful town in the Alps. Mainly with hotels, a few shops and restaurants. Amazing views from every part of the town. Perfect for skiing as situated nearby 3 large skiing areas of Val di Sole. Ski busses going mainly to Folgarida, but also close to Madonna di Campglio and Marilleva. There are also some walking routes for those that do not ski.MartaPoland

But we slept better than at home. The staff was so so kind and helpful it made it the best ski trip we have had in Italy. You are close to the slopes, but get to sleep and meet the locals.
