We liked the fact that there was snow on the ski slopes (with the aid of the snow machines). Having said this, the slopes were very icy, access was difficult with ice on the steps of the stairs to the slopes. We stayed for 6 days and there was no improvement on clearing the stairs or access to the slopes. Very overpriced regarding all the ski facilities; definitely would not recommend Predeal for winter sports or go there again for skiing (: Predeal might be better suited for summer activities

Predeal is the highest town - mountain resort in the country...
Predeal is the highest town - mountain resort in the country, which makes it a good option for a summer vacation, mainly because of the clean air and hiking/walking opportunities in and around it. The locals will tell you that Predeal is more of a winter resort because of the winter sports that can be practiced here, but since I'm not a fan of either (winter or its sports), spending some summer days at 24C is much better than in cities like the capital where the air is burning at 37C+. There are a number of good restaurants around town, of various price ranges but of similar high quality, as well as more frugal options in the few markets available.

The city is boring, run-down, expensive, you can probably ski in winter, but in summer there is simply nothing to do. You can't even walk in the evening after dark, bears roam the streets, it's dangerous to go out. Totally unacceptable. It's a pity, because there is beautiful scenery, but the inability of the authorities to act makes it impossible to run a normal tourist industry.

Predeal is a bit overrated imo, especially with no snow on the mountains. But luckily in close proximity there is Azuga and, behold, Busteni where you can appreciate the Cantacuzino Castel - Nevermore Academy *Wednesday Netflix and also great views (if you travel by car, it might get tight on parking)

The city hall should invest in making it more tourist friendly. There should be fairs and events in the weekend,this city lives on tourism so it should be made more lively for the tourists. I liked the waiters, they were so kind and welcoming. The waiters would always say good morning during breakfast and even if they were out in the reception and you'd be heading out they'd always greet you, smile and ask if you're ready for the day or things as such. The cleaning was done to a high standard, room always smelled nice afterwards. One of the receptionists wasn't the nicest as she didn't seem to care that we were out of toilet paper and wouldn't give us any sayind that it would be topped up when the cleaning would be done during the day. She refused to give me any the first time and got a few rolls out from the back I went back the second time which I didn't appreciate. But everyone else was lovely and food was nice too. Disliked · The drinks at the hotel bar were more expensive than if you went out to a shop/bar. Pool, table tennis and jacuzzi had to be paid for which I think it's a bit odd as most hotels don't ask you for extra money. They would disable the automatic doors at the entrance of the hotel after 11pm as apparently they dont want to see bears walking in unexpectedly - locals have said that you dont see bears around where the hotel is situated and it's due to laziness that they lock the doors -you can still.get in but youd have to press the bell and then wait for someone to come and let you in.AAnonymousUnited Kingdom

Apartment is equipped with everything you need (both kitchen and bathroom-wise). Received candies, coffee, tea, water and juice on the house which were nice touches. It is farther away from the city center, but I count this as a positive aspect due to fantastic air and options to walk around nature. Would definitely recommend and stay here again when in Predeal. Quite a gem and it's nice to see accommodation raising to such standards.
