Loved Courmayeur, the place, the people, the food.
Loved Courmayeur, the place, the people, the food. Such a pretty centre and lovely restaurants up the mountain. A fairly small ski area, so 4 days of skiing was enough here. Will definitely come back here for a weekend, but not for a week.

Skiing: high so plenty of snow, in good condition.
Skiing: high so plenty of snow, in good condition. Mosy of the lifts were reasonably quick. Very little queuing when we were there. Lots of potential for off piste. Most of the blue runs were linking paths rather than enjoyable pistes. Nice reds and blacks. Relatively small area, but if you have a car La Thuile is nearby.
Weather wasn't great so didn't go up the Skyway.

I have visited Courmeyour 2 or 3 times over the years. It has definitely gone 'up market' with a lot of boutique shops and bars appearing since I was last here, However, if you are looking for reasonably priced pizza/pasta/burgers etc there are plenty of restaurants that deliver. I went low season and the town was quite quiet. One of two bars that had a bit of life but not a 'party' town.
After skiing in Austria for the last 10 years or so, I found things like the beer, ski hire and ski pass quite expensive. Its definitely cheaper than the other side of the valley in Chamonix though.

The town centre is beautiful with lots of shops.
The town centre is beautiful with lots of shops.
Unfortunately, everything was expensive: restaurants, shops & food. There is only one tiny supermarket which is almost impossible to find. It seats in a hidden place. No proper signage to find it.

Courmayeur is a pretty Italian town located underneath the Mont Blanc massif with a charming centre only slightly spoilt by the presence of the Aosta valley motorway which runs through the Mont Blanc tunnel. There are several restaurants in the town centre and good shopping. Apart from skiing there are many mountain walks in the area as well as the unmissable Skyway Monte Bianco.
Incredible hosts - Marco, Francesca and Pina are super kind, personable and family-friendly, always willing to go the extra mile. Chalet Joli is a family-run, warm and cosy chalet to come back to after a day of skiing, and home-cooked meals in charming alpine interiors. We had a fantastic stay. Thank you for taking excellent care of us, the pick up & drop offs greatly appreciated especially with the children. 5 Star Service. We hope to come back soon.
Lovely surroundings, great service in many ways. Room was cozy, super clean, we had a beautiful view to the mountains and we just loved it - stayed one extra night as well! Breakfast was delicious. Closeness to Gondola to go skiing was very handy, u can practically walk to closest pista and ski straight to Gondola. There are also plenty of space for skiing equipment in the basement. Would recommend to our friends and happily return myself.
Location was excellent being a 5 minute walk to most of the restaurants and the pedestrian only streets. It is also only a 10/15min walk to the ski lift but the hotel has a shuttle land rover so no need to walk!!
Breakfast was very good with lots on offer and also the option of eggs/crepes as well. Staff were very friendly and helpful with information on the resort and restaurants etc.
The staff at Hotel Bouton D'or are exceptionally kind and accommodating—they went out of their way to help us navigate the city, find transportation, and even sent up ice packs to our room since we were recovering from the TMB hike. The hotel itself was also beautiful, exceptionally decorated, and well-located.
I travel a lot both for work and for vacationing but this is definitely the best place I've been. The staff is awesome, breakfast is amazing, the location is great (just a few steps from Courmayeur) and the house couldn't be any cuter. I can't give it 11 but this is definitely 11 out of 10. Highly recommended.
Great view
Parking
Good Internet
Excellent service by owners and their house taker.
Fully equipped kitchen all appliances and basic products- coffee, salt, oil, etc.
Walking distance to the ski lift.
The house has two floors which gave us the right space and privacy.
Great family run hotel in the heart of town. Great service, from the time of our very late check-in and arranging restaurants and taxis. Perfect for a long weekend skiing - the main Courmayer lift is 3 or 4 minutes walk away. Would definitely go back.
The staff are so friendly, welcoming and accomodating and the breakfast is lovely. It was a few kilometres outside Courmayeur, but there are always bikes outside the hotel and in the centre of Courmayeur that are really simple and cheap to rent.
Excellent location, beautiful place, wonderful staff- very friendly and helpful , beautiful breakfast .
Despite our very late arrival the hotel manager and the receptionist were there to accommodate us and made us feel very welcome. Thank you!
Nice and cozy hotel, bedrooms are very spacious and modern. Clean and staff very attentive
Super convenient the ski room and parking straight to the ski room.
The spa is super nice but it has to be reserved in sdvanced.
Everything was great. Excellent location to the ski lift. Short walk into the center of town. Breakfast was also very good - many choices. Free parking close to the hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Breakfast provided was great for skiing. Hotel and room had very good facilities, bed was comfortable, lovely bathroom, staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
Very accommodating for solo travellers!
Friendly helpful staff, wonderful spa, great breakfast and dinner. Easy to access main ski lift (walk in 10 mins or regular shuttle bus run by the hotel). Ski room with boot warmers. Good value for money.
Staff was nice and helpful. The location is good if you're interested in skiing on the local hills, the skilift is close by. The hotel is actually further away from Courmayeur centre.
very sweet ski hotel with traditional decor and staff very helpful. located in the centre of town which was great but slightly further to lifts than expected
Elevator. Parking in town. Balcony.
Another hotel canceled the reservation we'd made 6 mo. In advance. Pavillon came to our rescue on a Saturday afternoon.
