This is a wonderful nearly new property with super attentive and helpful staff. The room was large and nicely appointed, with a small terrace overlooking the town. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was AMAZING ! The chef is Colombian and the menu is an interesting fusion of flavors rather than just typical Italian fare. The masseuse at the spa was excellent (even with a last minute reservation) and the spa / pool was very relaxing. There is not much to do in Stia (although the Wool Museum was quite interesting) but it was a cool base for a few relaxing days and very convenient to Florence.
Overlooking the Foreste Casentinesi National Park, Hotel Pini features free bike rental and table tennis. Guests can dine at the à la carte restaurant.

Stia is lovely and this hotel sits right on the quiet piazza. It's not a modern hotel but it's very comfortable and very italian. By the way, the restaurant across the street served us one of the best dinners we ate in Tuscany!

Our host was excellent! When hecrealizedcwe were pilgrims on the via di Francesco (ie. No car), he offered to drive us to the grocery store AND take us back! A very generous gesture we can never thank him enough.
Very friendly staff and homely atmosphere, comfy and spacious room, fantastic food at the restaurant (filetto di chianina is highly recommended). Great location to explore the Forest of Campigna with easy and longer walks starting from outside the hotel.
