Beautiful area at the southern end of the Dolomites.
Beautiful area at the southern end of the Dolomites. With Lake Garda just around the corner, it is both tranquil but also full of entertainment. And so much to see. No need to know particular places, you will find something for yourself in this outstandingly beautiful area, as long as you are outdoorsy.

A picturesque little town with a beautiful green park.
A picturesque little town with a beautiful green park. Not a wide choice of places to eat - mostly pizzerias, some of which were only open at weekends. A good base to visit the surrounding countryside.
The breakfast was one of the most comprehensive "buffet" style breakfasts I have seen — certainly in Italy, maybe anywhere in the world. The hotel in general is very well thought through, with lovely touches throughout that were a delightful mix of modern and traditional. Especially loved the live music in the evenings, the relaxing bar atmosphere, the food (a la carte dinner especially was Michelin quality), the friendly staff, and the daily pamphlet with weather, activities, and stories of local history!
The hotel exceeded expectations. The staff was informative and friendly, I especially liked the newsletter each morning with events, excusions and hikes nearby. The breakfast buffet had an excellent selection, both savory and sweet, a honey comb and over 15 seeds, fruits, yogurt/cereal toppings. The family and adult spa were never crowded and well-maintained. Great hotel bar, wonderful ambiance, and piano bar 6 nights a week in February2024.
Wow.. what an amazing, breathtaking place. What didn't we like!
The view, the spa, the location. All perfect for a little get away!
Staff went above and beyond to cater to our needs. We had a great 30th birthday celebrating there!
We are so grateful for making our trip spectacular. The pictures really don't do this place justice.
Thank you hotel san giacomo for the most relaxing stay, surrounded by beauty and nature.
The hotel San Giacomo is a beautiful hotel for some quiet days and hiking in the mountains; following we really liked:
+ super friendly and helpful staff
+ nice wellness area for kids and adults
+ amazing breakfast
+ good restaurant but some menus were a bit too fancy for our simple taste 😉
+ gym opens at 9am but I was allowed to use it already at 7am for a pre-breakfast workout
The staff was very friendly and always available, and the location of the hotel was perfect. It was on the main street of the village and literally 1min walking distance to the nearby pizzeria, supermarket, park, bars, etc. The public parking space was also less than a min walk.
Our room was not facing the main street, so it was pretty quiet at night.
The hotel owner, sorry I forgot her name, made us feel very welcome. Her home cooked dinner was great, so was the breakfast. The hotel is brand new so that's great too. And the location, away from the buzz of Lake Garda, is wonderful. And all that for a very reasonable price.
Set in a picturesque location this hotel is the perfect place for hiking, skiing but also relaxation. The staff are really friendly and helpful. The food - both breakfast and the restaurant- is amazing. We would highly recommend.
Fantastic hotel, I stopped during a bike tour and Silvia was very helpful in accommodating my needs and providing suggestions. Room had a beautiful balcony and breakfast was excellent.
