Belluno is a lovely little town and the surrounding area has much to offer. I was there for work so little time to explore , Great ice cream at Novecento ( Astra hotel). The accommodation I stayed in Dolomite suite) spoilt the experience but the kindness of the staff of the hotel I moved was reassuring and ensured my safety.

It is a charming village, bigger than most in the area, but some parts of the historic centre are in terrible disrepair. There are lots of bars and gelato shops, but too few restaurants that actually serve warm meals. Most good restaurants have all the tables reserved by locals in the evening, so it is a bit of a struggle to eat out on a whim. Also, the restaurants serve lunch and dinner according to a fixed schedule, so don't even think of having pizza or pasta at 4 or 5 in the afternoon!

The hospitality was superb; hosts friendly and welcoming. We were greeted by Paulo with Prosecco, and shown our very comfortable, tasteful and large room. We dined with the other guests around the table for delicious, home grown or locally sourced fare that was lovingly prepared and beautifully presented. Enjoyed sitting on the balcony overlooking the mountains. We felt comfortable, welcome and pampered. I hope to return for a longer.LLauraUnited States of America

I was looking for a place to take a rest after doing Alta Via 1, and this place is so well-equipped to feel like home. It has everything you need. The host Dario is also very helpful to have managed to arrange an early check-in and late check-out for us. I would recommend anyone who's looking for a stay in Belluno!
