Good value hostel located above the town in a quite area. Room and shared bathroom were clean, you can do laundry on site for a fee, just ask at the reception.
If you are going down to town to eat dinner and plan on returning after dark, take a flashlight as the way to the guesthouse is not lit at all!!

Walking distance to Grič, a Michelin-starred restaurant. Peter was very friendly and very hospitable; he is well known in the village. It was so cool to stay in such a historic building.

I would like to highly recommend this place for your vacation!
We were warmly welcomed at almost 10 pm with tasty rakija and showed the apartment which had everything we needed during our stay. The apartment was squeaky clean and extremely comfortable and the parking was quite spacious and convenient.
Mr. Gaspar was always there to help with restaurant and bar recommendations and he was also happy to borrow us playing cards at our inquiry.
We stayed during winter time to visit Ski Resort Cerkno (15 mins away by car) but I bet it's even more beautiful in the summer time! :)

It's a lovely location, surrounded by the mountains and there is a river just beneath (the river sound is so comfy for deep sleep at night). Lot's of greenery, beautiful scenery and there are horses and ponies and a dog Pele! The whole place has a unique vibe, it's so peaceful. The host is lovely, willing to help with everything, very kind and generous. I had a great time and I hope to come back again!

My wife and I stayed 1 night, arriving by rental car at 2PM and parking in front. We met the owner as he was ready to close up his butcher shop. After copying our passports and vaccinations, discussing our vegetarian breakfast, he escorted us to our accommodation.
Ground floor apartment #2 was fully tiled with a nicely outfitted kitchenette (2 burner countertop) opposite a small kitchen table with a small refrigerator, bathroom with good hot water, soaps and shower. The separate bedroom was spacious with 2 twins put together, a small shelf desk and very small wall TV (lots of channels-no easy to use guide (found FOX/SKY and a few others in English), and a small opening window.
The kitchen space is unhandy with the bedroom and bathroom doors encroaching on the tightly spaced table with 2 small low stools.
The 7:30 AM breakfast buffet was on the other side of the building in a dedicated room; juice, eggs, breads, cereals, cheeses with coffee/tea, salad and apples. Plenty of meat would have been provided if we were not vegetarian.
The location was perfect with the Spar supermarket 280m south, the Anthony's Shaft Mining Museum across the street and the Grad Gewerkenegg 400m north. Overall this 300 year old house was a good value stay.
