The views from Endeavour Lodge were wonderful. We had 2 little cars which were there waiting for us on our arrival. We were picked up at the airport by Juliet, who transported us back to Endeavour Lodge and went through the procedures, etc. Nothing was too much trouble for her and everything was there in the units, including binoculars, beach towels, a picnic basket and coolers!

The location was wonderful and we could walk down to the swimming beach, although a little walk up the hill on the way home. Lots to do nearby. The view was stunning, could even see the sunrise and sunset through the trees. The rooms were large and well appointed with very comfortable beds. We appreciated being able to use the washing machine. The kitchen meant we were able to cook several meals here. We would definitely return!

Breakfast provision were provided - ie eggs, toast, butter, jams which was unexpected but a welcome surprise. Coffee machine provided but no coffee pods, we wanted to get local coffee but unable to find any. Maybe pods could be available at office to purchase.
Tima in the office was amazing host and nothing was too much trouble.

Our apartment was clean and comfortable with everything we needed. It included some extra touches such as umbrella, torch, picnic basket, esky and thermos. Also, a mobile phone for our use (pay for calls only) so we didn't need a local sim. Friendly and helpful hosts met us at the airport and organised our hire car.

The house suited us perfectly with private bedrooms and two bathrooms. Everything was provided. More than just a starter kit. Wayne and Ian from NIHH looked after us. Our 6 seater Subaru was great. Definitely recommend this house. It’s in a nice rural part and close to Burnt Pine shops.

Simply stunning. Not much else one can say.
Simply stunning. Not much else one can say. Roads are crappy, but safe.
Take liquor from your departure duty-free as it's fearsome expensive on the Island. Make sure you have a hire car as there's lots to see. Many tours available but we very happily did our own thing and were rewarded for it.

7 days is quite sufficient to see and do everything at Burnt Pine. Food is quite expensive and fruit and vegetables aren’t always available at the supermarkets. It’s a good idea to bring rice, pasta, tuna, biscuits, spreads, butter, cheese etc. as everything is quite expensive one the island. You can buy local fish but it is frozen. There are a variety of shops with some bargains to be had if you look hard enough. Hiring a car is a must so you can drive yourself around and explore all the sights and go to town for supplies.

Very central to everything on the Island.
Very central to everything on the Island. Close to main streets, pick up points for the various tours we did. Lovely relaxing area with lots of scenery, wildlife, excellent photo opportunities and close to lots of tourist attractions. Our most enjoyable days were being part of the tours. We did the introductory tour that tells you about the history and shows you some of the places of interest. Our driver was very comical and informative. Thoroughly enjoyed this great into to Norfolk Island. We also did a taste testing tour visiting some of the local farms/growers and then we did a progressive dinner was very delicious, excellent sized servings, very friendly and generous host families for every course (3 courses).

We had trouble booking restaurants as food was in short supply whilst we were there. Also the cost of any food that was available was very expensive.
The Bowling Club we found to be the best place for a decent meal at a reasonable price. The Homestead restaurant was a big disappointment. It was very expensive and we sent three steak meals back because it was very tough. The Chef was offhand and would not admit it was poor quality meat from NZ. He did offer us another meal of our choice but it too was very ordinary, considering the price. The entree of pate with sourdough was very nice.
Very friendly people in town and very helpful, even though they're going through an extremely tough time with supply ships being delayed.
Enjoyed the history and museums very much in Kingston.

The best things were the relaxed vibe on the whole island, where people don't lock their doors and the locals are very friendly. There is plenty to do from exploring beautiful nature all around the island to learning about Australia's history
