Convenient location for an overnight stop while cycling the Camino Nortes. Clean modern bedroom. Helpful staff, we arrived at 3.45 and there was no problem ordering lunch which was excellent and great value. The restaurant closed at 6pm.

Located in Cadavedo, Hotel Rural Casa Roja is a restored house from 1889, featuring an Indiano architecture characteristic of that period. It features lovely gardens and views of the mountains.

Clean and very spacious room and bathroom. I had booked a single room and it had two single beds made separately pushed together. Bathroom had two hand basins, soap, shower gel, shampoo, towels and hair dryer provided. Had heating on during the night so it was nice and warm. I used the correo luggage transfer service to/from this place and that went well. The restaurant offers a 3 course menu of the day which had very generous portions at a reasonable price. Hotel is about a 400m detour off the Camino del Norte trail just as you are entering Cadavedo. Visiting the Ermita de La Regalina is a must. The church is tiny but it is only a further 400m flat walk (in the opposite direction from the camino) from the hotel and it has amazing views of the cliffs and beaches below. Wifi was good. TV in room was good. The room and location were quiet.
Located in San Cosme at 6 km from the nearest beach , Hotel El Chisco features an outdoor swimming . Free WiFi is available in public areas.

This must have been the cleanest hotel ever, and we stay in hotels at least 50 days per year.
The owner, a very friendly lady whose English/Dutch was on par with our Spanish, welcomed us. The next morning there was a fresh breakfast with cake/brownies/donuts, toast, baguette, slices of turkey, sliced cheese, two fruit juices, jam, olive oil, fresh fruit (uncut). An enormous pot of steaming coffee and another with hot milk were put in front of us.
Bonus: a sweet (15 year old!) cat that loves the attention. No worries about allergies: everything is spotless/hair free and the cat has its own corner away from guests.
The bathroom is small, but the shower was hot (and, again, super clean with a new curtain). The bedroom is large, with a small pull out sofa.
Surrounded by nature, this house features a living room with a fireplace and rooms with private bathroom. The beaches of Concha de Artedo and San Pedro are 5 km away.
