Beautiful grounds and so peaceful and quiet.
Building inside has so much character and is grand.
Massive rooms and bathroom was lovely, it had the biggest shower.
Staff (the lady on night reception from 9 pm when I arrived at last minute) was so friendly and helpful as I asked loads of questions about the place.
The lady early morning on reception was equally helpful and very friendly.
A nice really warm welcoming and staff presence and I will definitely come back again.
Beautiful trees garden and lake to wander round.

To be honest, we made Shrewsbury a stop off point as we travelled to Wales for a weeks cottage holiday. We stopped on the 'way down' and on the 'way back', to break up long journeys.
However, from our two half days in Shrewsbury it looks like a place for longer stays. The museum and art gallery were very interesting. The shopping areas were very good, with a good mix of larger names (M&S, Sea Salt, White Stuff ...) and independents. There were many eating places, but obviously we weren't able to make use of all but two in the town, both of which were very good.
It looks like a place we will return to!

Shrewsbury is a great town to visit which we do several times a year. Summer time is definitely worth a visit but we go all year round and always enjoy ourselves. Full of history, quirky hotels, bars and restaurants and great for shopping. Umai restaurant is outstanding for us food always delicious. A trip on the river boat highly recommended. Several places to park all within a short distance of the centre.

The town is packed full of historic beautiful biuldings Riverside walk is an absolute must... Town centre to Castlefields especially. The Abbey, castle , and lots of one off shops. Hidden in nooks and crannies are such delights as the old post office the old prison and boutiques.
Don't miss The Dingle gardens as you take the walk.

An absolute surprise - we spent all day just walking round Shrewsbury and being delighted by what we found - including the Market Hall which is something we don't see many of in the south of England.

Shrewsbury there is plenty of places to eat and drink resonable prices
Plenty of shops easy to get around a bit hilly in parts for people with mobility issues. good walks along river bank and in parks plenty of space to wonder if you don't want the town.
Not keen on breakfast - cheep and poor quality cereal and coffee tasted terrible couldn’t drink it. Hotel far out and cost lot in taxi. Room was good size and bed comfortable would prefer softer pillows. Towels soft. But not sure why washed them when kept on rail not good for environment which shame. Not sure if product vegan / cruelty free, place I stayed in before in Shrewsbury had both - okay but not likely to pick again. One big plus was could have bike in room. Thank you
The hotel is conveniently located right in the historic centre of Shrewsbury. Formerly the home of Prince Rupert of the Rhine, it's a rambling old building with a lot of charm. My room was comfortable and warm with ensuite bathroom and I wanted for nothing. All the staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. I didn't eat evening meals in the restaurant but breakfast was superb.
Location in fields just on the Northern Edge of Shrewsbury is extremely peaceful. Rooms were furnished with 2 chairs as well as a bed. (If you want to lie on the bed in front of a giant TV, this isn't for you.) Despite the room being in a modern building its didn't feel like a chain hotel,
Everything was wonderful, the service was fantastic, the location was stunning, the food was amazing and the room had every comfort you could wish for. Top find and I hope to be able to return, would definitely say this was a strong recommendation for anyone visiting Shrewsbury
The communication with Steve was excellent. Everything was laid out perfectly. The location was just right, only a 10 minute walk into the town centre. The flat itself was beautiful, far better than any hotel room.
We will definitely use it again when we return to Shrewsbury.
A beautiful, stylish hotel, right in the centre of Shrewsbury. The staff were all absolutely lovely: welcoming and classy. The room was light and airy. Menu looked great but we ate at a few of the many other lovely restaurants nearby.
The friendliness and approachability of the owners and staff were fantastic. Boutique Hotel, which was very quaint with tasteful decor and delicious food. Excellent location for exploring Shrewsbury
We stayed at this hotel after walking up Mount Snowdon. The hotel was set in a beautiful location. had nice gardens and the room was perfect. The check in was quick with very friendly staff.
Friendly staff, clean room, choice of two pillows firm and soft a nice touch. Good size room and good breakfast. Perfect location for us on the outskirts of Shrewsbury.
A fantastic boutique hotel that specialises in the little things! Incredibly clean and comfortable with an amazing central location in the beautiful town of Shrewsbury.
The hotel is central in Shrewsbury and the room was spacious. The food was amazing we had cooked breakfast both mornings and had a meal on one of the evenings .
