First of all, great hosts. Very hospitable and helpful. The house is very large and fully equipped. The house has two terraces, there is also a parking space. We had a great time there. I recommend!. I cordially greet the wonderful hosts.

All the good restaurants are outside Esponsende - mainly in Apulia. A nice little hike or short taxi ride. Bridge to Fao needs some TLC, at least if you walk over it. Fantastic views, but the rusty bits on the footpath high above the water are somewhat anxiety-inducing (and I even heard that from experienced Camino walkers ...) Would not walk over a second time ...

Esposende was one of the best places to stay that we have had on this trip for the Camino de Santiago. The people that run the hotel are wonderful and very friendly. Everything is very clean and they have a great lounge with a good kitchen to make what you want. I would recommend them and their rooms to anyone going to that area.

We thought everybody had left town.
We thought everybody had left town. The whole place was strangely quiet and deserted. We struggled to find an open place to eat. It was early September. A lot of derelict buildings.
Just about good enough for a one night Camino stopover.

We are an elderly couple who have been to the area many times since 1975 and never tire of it. It has not suffered overdevelopment like many other resorts. It is a great place to relax and enjoy the food and laid back style . The surrounding area such as Ponte de Lima is superb so a car enhances the experience.

Esposende is a nice little town and a cool spot for kitesurfing. When I was there it was quiet and relaxing. I couldn't find amazing places for lunch or dinner actually, but some nice local patisseries instead. Having said that, there is some offer, just not to the level I was hoping. The coast is nice, the wind strong, people are nice too, and it is very close to other nice towns in the north of Portugal

Very nice place with nice sea and the special cakes from Fao. If you are in Esposende you have definitely to go to get some "Clarinhas de Fão". Fão is on the south bank of the river. You can find them in a very small "pastelaria".
Location was perfect along the coastal route, just before Esposende. The staff were wonderful and helpful. I left before breakfast and they made me a small breakfast bag the night before. it was very kind! The balcony was nice and the AC unit worked well after a long day of walking. Located next to a modest restaurant with sufficient dinner options and kind staff.
Warm greeting at reception with useful information provided to us in English. Plenty of space in our apartment with a well equipped kitchen and large supermarket around the corner. Able to make a home cooked dinner after many nights of quick fix meals. Large dining/lounge area and our room also had it's own outdoor space to relax in overlooking a large garden.
This was a beautiful guest house, a real oasis just steps from the Camino trail. The room was bright, spacious and well appointed. Anita went well above and beyond in making sure her guests had everything they needed. And she is a fantastic cook! I highly recommend staying here.
Good location. Probably a better hotel for beach guests when in season (we were there in mid May). Served us a nice dinner in the evening (too far for us pilgrims to walk into town for other options), and a nice breakfast to get going back on El Camino de Santiago the next day.
really nice and clean hotel, minimalistic design and big
panorama window with amazing view, we spent all time on terrace almost!
everything was clean and personal are very help-full a cheerful.
really nice place to stay
This place gives a little home-like feeling on the way. Perfect location on the camino, nice livingroom and bedroom, clean bathroom, handwashing opportunity, and the pool is like in a luxury hotel :)
Location on the seafront. Not a modern hotel but typically stylish. Very helpful staff, particularly a young lady on reception ( I think that her name was Joanna?). The pool was a bonus.
Loved the quiet, picturesque location. Room was simple and clean, as expected as a "hostel". Thermostat worked well and slept very comfortably. We walked to the beach and the camino.
Great design, good facilities, very friendly host! Very clean and comfortable. Probably best hostel so far!
Be aware it's almost the end of Esposende if you are doing Camino.
