We loved our 3 night stay at Hotel Desiree! We enjoyed the 15 min walk to the historical center of town and an additional 10 min walk to the ferry port. Our sea view room was fantastic. Loved having the large double windows to keep open for fresh air and the distant sounds of the lapping waves and early morning birds. The front desk staff were awesome, both Marco and Pascale were so welcoming, kind and so helpful! The breakfast each morning was delightful. Other highlights: the rooftop terrace, the serene walk down the steps to the private beach area (there is lift to go to/from if desired). In walking to/from town - we were not used to the close proximity of the motor vehicles to the sidewalk, so once we got used to that - we were able to settle into the beautiful surroundings as we navigated walking around town. We trained to Pompeii and ferried to Capri/Amalfi! Restaurant highlights: Tasso, Chantecler, Guarracino! Each were delicious - there are so many more we want to try, so we must return! Viaggi sicuri!!!

It is very hilly which I did expect so no surprise but getting about if you have mobility problems could be an issue. It is very busy even for May. The locals are very nice and friendly. Drinks and food are quite expensive generally and getting around can be expensive. If I were to come again I would recommend staying in the very centre of Sorrento and to avoid hotels with courtesy buses unless you are happy to walk or pay for extra taxis when the bus isn’t running at a time convenient for you. Most tours have free hotel pick ups but not all so check this when booking anything otherwise you could end up paying a fortune just getting to the meeting point! Overall a pretty place with lots to do but expensive. If you like seafood - visit Marina Grande and eat at Porto Marina restaurant. You can’t book but we went at 7.30 and had to wait 10 mins but they gave you a glass of wine while you waits. Beautiful place to watch the sunset and excellent seafood at a fairly reasonable price for Sorrento. I’d say the best meal we had in Sorrento.

Sorrento is beautiful with lovely shops and restaurants. The buildings are lovely too. Not that easy to get to beaches.
We're there for 3 weeks in May and temps ranged from 19 to 28c. Plenty of sunshine. A little rain but no great harm.

It is a wonderful location with plenty to do and good access to Pompeii and Herculaneum. It was busy in May so worth considering if you are traveling in July and August. Research your restaurants well. Many in the centre seemed ok but basic fare by Italian standards. Nalu Trattoria and Pizzeria da Franco were fantastic and are worth a visit.

It is beautiful but certainly geared towards extracting every last dollar from tourists. The service in some places was excellent, others not so much. I love the ancient connections and the buildings but having to pay for every little thing is tiring. Whilst I understand that paying to use a toilet is common... 1euro to use a poorly maintained toilet with barely any toilet paper, no toilet seat and a very abrupt person manning it... Not my idea of encouraging. In short, I can tick it off my bucket list but I would not bother going back.
My highlight was engaging with the artisans from Bimonte, who sculpt cameo's. Beautiful, friendly people who are also very talented and happy to share their craft knowledge.

Sorrento is not too big so a couple of days in the town is enough, but from Sorrento there is access to Capri, Amalfi Coast, Vesuvius, Pompeii, Herculanium and Naples - so there are plenty of day trips. We ate at several bars and restaurants and they were all very good. We particularly liked the restaurant Leone Rosso and gelateria David - they are next to each other very close to the train station. We also ate at several places off Piazza Tasso. Can recommend the free walking tour by Guru Guides.
One of our favorite stays in Italy. Convenient location to area restaurants and the main square. We loved walking through the winding streets; very easy to navigate. Eduardo was amazing and gave us a lot of recommendations and took time to make sure we were acclimated and ready for our stay. Kitchen truly is stocked for breakfast and it was nice to not have to think about figuring out the mornings in town. There was an elevator which was very helpful to bring the suitcases upstairs to the room. Lots of space and very clean.
Antonella and Giuseppe were incredibly gracious and accommodating hosts. The room including bathroom was very spacious, bed was extremely comfortable, and the private patio had unbelievable ocean, city, and sunset views. We loved eating our dinners on the patio while enjoying the views. Shuttle service into Sorrento was free saving us many euros. Did I mention the breakfast spread? Americano coffee every morning was the best we had in our 3.5 week stay in Italy. So much fresh fruit, pastries, eggs, and more.
Amazing hotel, amazing staff, amazing food, amazing everything! Cannot wait to come back to visit Anna Belle Resort again soon. The comfortable, air-conditioned car waiting at the port started it off right, the grounds were beautiful, rooms beautiful, pool outstanding. It was the last stop on our Italy trip and it was the best way to end our adventure. I never wanted to leave and will absolutely return! Everybody was so friendly and helpful, thank you for a stay we will never forget.
Maria and her staff just do a fabulous job of taking care of guests. We arrived early and they were kind enough to store our bags and allow us to leave our car while we explored Sorrento. The breakfasts are the best we experienced during our two weeks in Italy - just fabulous! Our room and bathroom were both large and very comfortable. The views from the main floor balcony and our room were wonderful. Nearly everything exceeded our expectations. We hope to return again.
Excellent location as could cut through to the main street. Near the main train station, all of the shops and restaurants but set back so not noisy. Liked having a patio. Helpful having a fridge in the room. The included breakfast was good for what we needed and set us up for the day. Plenty to eat. The room was lovely with good storage space for clothes. We were very happy with our stay here, it was a great base for exploring the area of Italy. Thank you Hotel Eden.
This is the best hotel I've ever stayed in. We were staying here for our Honeymoon and had the absolute best time. Location is ideal, the staff is incredible (especially Francesco at the rooftop bar!) and the room was stunning. We booked the suite and the photos absolutely did not do it justice. The room was beautiful with a massive balcony. Can't recommend this hotel enough! We will for sure stay here anytime we come back to Italy.
The staff at La Piazetta goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome, comfortable and excited to be in Italy. Catarina was communicative since the moment I booked until the moment I left. We appreciate her always taking the time to give us detailed instructions and recommendations. In fact, she was so caring, I assumed she was the owner, but no, just an employee who takes pride in her job. We miss her and La Piazetta already!
An absolutely gorgeous home, set on beautiful grounds overlooking Sorrento Port and Mount Vesuvius. Fantastic location as well, close to everything you need. A wrap around terrace allows amazing views from both bedrooms (which are huge). Very spacious and Fabiana was such a helpful host. Thank you for letting my family and I stay in this beautiful space. We thought it was the best accommodation of our entire 2 weeks in Italy.
My husband and I stayed in Sorrento for 2 nights. Valentina was amazing! From the moment we met her, she was very helpful with parking. She provided us with excellent recommendations in terms of restaurants and attractions. She was friendly and very responsive if we ever needed anything. We went to a few cities in Italy during our stay and B&B Valentina was the best place we stayed in Italy! Would definitely recommend :)
The Stay was very pleasant and infact the best in Italy considering all other hotels I stayed in.
We took bunglow for 2 adults and 1 kid. It was clean with basic kitchen facilities (no complaints). The Location of the property is best and dont forget to have pizza there. The service staff are amazing and very humble.
The main pool is "deep" only. with a kids plunge pool on the side.
I was hesitant to book this place as it was new and no reviews but they have other places in Italy. I am so glad I took the chance as it was great. Brand new unit, great location close to town center and the ferry port, really quiet for where it is, comfortable bed, great A/C, such helpful staff; Francesca was awesome. If I ever come back to Sorrento I am staying here!!
A highlight of our stay in Italy! Such a beautiful boutique hotel with so many thoughtful touches! Historic building with so much character, yet all modern amenities you may need. The service was wonderful and everyone was so pleasant and accommodating. Breakfast was outstanding and a ‘happy hour’ was a nice touch. The location could not have been better as well!
The place is amazing!!! the best hotel in Italy for sure, and the feeling of home.
Everything you need is taken care of by Anntonella, there is a shuttle to sorrento , allday. The rooms are spactacular , beautiful, clean and with a lot of פינוקים
its like a zimmer. the food is delicious!! . the views are incredible. i would give it 20 out of 10!
The BEST place we have ever stayed whilst we were travelling around Italy. It is about a 20 minute walk from Sorrento port, the host was so lovely and helped us organise our trip to Capri! I couldn't open a bottle of Prosecco as the cork had sunk and she was great with helping us out. Such a lovely lady that made the stay worth it!
One of the nicest hotels we stayed in Italy during our 4 week holiday. 2 nights could have easily been 5 or 7 due to the stunning location of Sorrento and the comfort of this hotel. Buffet Breakfst was good, rooms were huge compared to other places we stayed. Highy recommend visiting Pompeii and Capri while down here.
Comfortable room that was clean and well presented. The hotel itself was clean and a central location which made it easy to navigate to other areas of Italy via train, bus or boat.
The breakfast was nice and the staff were friendly and always happy to help and the pool was nice to lounge about.
The property was in the best location at the water front. The property was extremely clean and the staff were so friendly. Absolutely my favourite hotel during my trip through Italy ❤️❤️
