A Grimm Fairytale
Although known for the Nuremberg Trials, this Bavarian city has a stunning medieval core of cobbled streets and half-timbered buildings that wouldn’t look out of place in a fairytale. Sitting above this is the castle, one of the most important in the Holy Roman Empire. Take the steep walk up here for fantastic old town views.
Hauptmarkt square in the old town is home to an unusual-looking church and a Gothic fountain, spectacularly lit during the annual Nuremberg Christmas markets. Selling everything from wooden toys to lebkuchen (gingerbread), these are widely considered the best Christmas markets in Germany.
Other attractions in Nuremberg (Nürnberg in German) include the Germanisches Nationalmuseum, the country’s largest museum of culture and art. Another highlight is the Heilig-Geist-Spital, a medieval hospital by the Pegnitz River.
A word must also be said about its relationship with Nazism. On the south-east corner are the immense Nazi Rally Grounds and Party Congress Hall, built in appropriately domineering fashion. The excellent Documentation Centre here is a sensitive and unbiased portrayal of life under Hitler. It is also possible to visit the courtroom where the war trials were held.
Before leaving your Booking.com apartment, hotel or hostel to go to Nuremberg Airport, don’t forget to try the spicy local sausage!

Room was furnished with cheap furniture, for what we paid for the room, I have never felt this ripped off. The doorways were 6' 4" inches and I am 6' 6". Felt like they went to Frank Lloyd Wright to design the room.. I would not recommend this property.Thomas - 10Scored 10
Nuremberg is a lovely and very scenic little city.
Nuremberg is a lovely and very scenic little city. I took a thousand photos of memorable traditional sights. Everything is within walking distance and people are quite friendly in general. I discovered a great photo shop called FOTOMAX and will only buy my cameras from there now. There is a sense of easy living and peace there.

Well-located and easy to find. They have a restaurant on the ground floor which serves delicious food. Quiet and clean. The price per night was a little expensive but considering the Interzoo exhibition was a good deal. No coffee or tea facilities sadly. Also, the lift was not working. Transportation was perfect and convenient. Stores and restaurants were wonderful. Museums, marketplaces, and other businesses were great. People were friendly and everyone we encountered spoke English and were very helpful. I love visiting Nuremberg - seeing the mixture of old and modern architecture is wonderful!

A very beautiful city with excellent options for everyone: long walks in the parks or on the river banks and beautiful bridges; historic sites, castle and interesting museums; beautiful streets and wonderful traditional houses; monuments and statues; nice shopping streets with low and high end shops and brands; lively restaurants and terraces with great food options. It really has everything you could want for a great holiday . Do not miss the castle, Dürer house, Germanisches nationalmuseum, Fembohaus. Was there during a street music festival, at which it felt like the entire town gathered on the streets of the Old Town - great atmosphere and even better, it took 2 minutes to reach the hotel :) Plus, once the windows were closed, it was really quiet, so the partying on the street which kept going late in the night did not bother at all. The fact that the hotel has its own parking garage is great!

It’s spotless, charming, comfortable, staffed by the nicest people and about half the price of everything else nearby. The only negative was that my room was not air conditioned, but that’s rarely a problem in Nurnberg. During the daytime, the room was still comfortably cool and nights with the windows open were Heaven. There was little traffic or noise from the street just below.

A special shout out to the front office girl called "Tara" who changed our room to a better one where the windows could be opened, she was very friendly and helped us a lot. We did not have breakfast at the hotel, but the rooms were clean and the bed comfortable. Although we did not visit the gym and sauna facilities, there were open to be used.

The receptionist was friendly, he gave us a map with all the major sights and good restaurants in Nürnberg. Our room was comfortable. Good shower.
