The description on booking.com is missing the itinerary so we didn't really know what to expect. The transfer service dropped us off and told us to wait 15 mins which turned into 35 mins even though the tender boat was already there. The guide was obviously busy but we could have just been told to look for the sapphire tender instead of waiting in the heat with our bags. Some of the other (but probably more expensive) boat companies on the other side of the port appear to have air conditioned waiting areas but where we were told to wait didn't have a fan. You only get one small bottle of water per person then have to pay 29,000 per bottle which is triple hanoi restaurant prices.

Staff were great, very professional. Luc the guide was funny and knowledgeable about the area and had good energy. At 5,875,000 VND, this was one of the cheaper options but does the same activities so didn't feel like we missed out. The food was good and there was plenty of it at the various meal times. Transfer picked us up from the hotel at 8am, stopped for a break once at around 9:30 for half an hour then we arrived at the port (opposite mojito) at 11:20.

Cannot recommend highly enough - free upgrade to an amazing room with huge terrace and bath facing out onto the bay (incredible), food and service were exceptional, great activities, you really do get your money's worth.. an experience we'll never forget!

Nothing it was a great trip I wish I stayed longer!

We had an incredible 2 day trip on the Sapphire! I wish I had booked another day to enjoy the room and it’s beautiful view even more. It’s definitely worth booking more than one night so you can really enjoy your surroundings without rushing. Luc was a great communicator for all of our activities, everything ran smoothly and we had a great time kayaking, cycling and relaxing in our room. The food was delicious we were stuffed full every meal time and they catered to my gluten allergy easily. We had never been on a cruise before so didn’t know what to expect but we had a great time and would love to do it again!

No wifi throughtout the trip. Delayed checkin and travel to Lan Ha Bay took away considerable time from our time on cruise

The Cat Ba Village tour was underwhelming and the activities start a little early in the morning. No Wi-Fi!

Me and my partner had the most amazing time on Sapphire cruise! We did the 2 days one night and it was such a highlight of our trip in Vietnam! From the very beginning of meeting the staff and being picked up we were so impressed! All the staff were so lovely and friendly! Special thank you to Hoang ( Mr king) and Tom cruise and James Bond they made us feel so special and so cared for! They really went out their way to make sure everyone was having such a good time whilst also letting you enjoy and relax!! They were so good in making you aware of all the times and activities of everything it was just amazing so organised and well run! The accommodation was amazing!! The beds are so comfy it’s so clean and the bath with the view was my favourite!! We were so impressed with the food it was so nice every dish was so good!! They catered for us both as we are vegetarians and the courses just rolled out the service was amazing!! We were so surprised at how much we loved the dining experience!! It really did exceed our expectations!! 💯 recommend going with Sapphire cruise ☺️ Again thank you so much to all the staff you were amazing we felt so cared for such a relaxing/ luxury experience

Everything was perfect! Rooms are nice decorated and clean. Food was also very good. Staff is nice and helpful. I want to thank in particular the supervisor "Tom cruise" who was all time seeing that everything was perfect. He also helped me arranging my transportation back to Hanoi at last minute. Your doing a great job!

There were no free drinks included throughout the trip. A drink included with each meal would have been good for the price of the trip.

We had no complaints. Just note that there is a long gap between lunsj and dinner on day two.

The room and the bathroom with was great! Spacious with amazing view and balconies. The food was very good and the staff was the best! We did a two night cruise and that included a very scenic and tranquil bikeride to visit a small island village, aswell as kayaking (and swimming if the weather permits) in a much more quiet and scenic location than the one for the guests who only did one night. So two nights are highly recommended.

The A/C unit in the room was difficult to operate.

The size of the group (~30) was perfect for meeting other guests and still having privacy when desired. Mr. Luc, aka “Power,” was a fantastic host for our 2 day/overnight tour of the Ha Long & Lan Ha Bay. He was energetic, warm, hospitable, making sure our needs were met while also helping the cruise staff as a true team player. His spirit made the trip a memorable one!

They provided only 1 water bottle per person for a 24 hrs cruise. Only 45 mins Kayaking, which could be more as we had a lot of time.

Value for money. Good clean rooms. Food for tasty and beautifully plated. There was a lot of variety. The bar menu was impressive. The staff Power , James bond, Hannah, and the others were very attentive and had real good coordination. They would remember details of anything extra we asked for and deliver it immediately. The time coordination was impeccable. They had organised squid fishing, which was good fun. Overall a great value for money as our price also included hanoi transfer.

Need stay more

I paid for 4 star boat but I was so surpised at the first glance we reached Sapphire cruise. I looked so beautiful and brand new. We were shocked when we checked in cabin. Wow, it is was over my expectation .Our cabin has a balcony from where you can enjoy the views while boat cruising. 5 star mattress, luxury bathroom with bath tub and jaccuzzi. All meals provided with delicious food and beautiful decoration . Everything was perfect expecially the professional and friendly staff . Sapphire cruise deserves 5 star , not 4 star.
