Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaNot a lot to explore nearby but we didn’t need that for our purpose. grounds and decor a bit out dated. some of the serving staff were quite rude others were great.
The rooms were clean and very comfortable. Well appointed with what you need. Decent restaurant and bar for drinks and nice pool sitting area. Cute little beach and view of small island across. Reception staff were amazing! So helpful and friendly. Great place to stay just. wrote flying out or in before you venture out into the other islands!

I had one of the new rooms so it was much more modern than some of the others.

Mariners Hotel was able to accommodate my team on short notice after work related delays. The staff was very pleasant and assisted us with our rental car as well as booking our pcr appointment to fly out. Reception was also very good at pointing out what areas to check out on our off days.

United KingdomBathroom a bit primitive but perfectly functional. Shower head a bit funny. Nit-picking really - the room + ablutions were fine for the grade and price. Really not much to dislike. Only there for the one night while in transit so not able to say much more.
Super location looking out across sea towards Young Island. Very comfy bed. A/c very efficient if a bit noisy. Could have turned it down I suppose! Lovely staff - polite, accommodating, cheery - couldn’t have been nicer. Mistakenly left an iPhone charger in room on departure and the hotel phoned me to tell me, and are holding it for me. Very impressed!

PolandAlthough it is not a fault of the hotel, the transport from it to the town centre is a bit of a challenge, if you are a foreigner and do not understand how local 'taxis' work.
The staff of the hotel was extremely friendly and very, very helpful with advice and finding solutions to my questions. The view from the hotel rooms are amazing, and the restaurant and the bar at the sea front very nice indeed!

AustraliaLovely hotel right on the water. A lovely balcony to sit & have a cuppa or just chill. All rooms face the water & the most comfortable bed I think I've ever slept in. All of the staff were lovely, but special shout out to Whitney on reception, who was super helpful.

I always stay here when I travel to St. Vincent. The staff are lovely and the rooms have gorgeous views of the sea. Great sunsets/sunrises are a bonus. Definitely family friendly. My daughter has grown-up staying here and really enjoys having the option to be in the pool or on the beach. Would recommend the great food at The French Verandah restaurant on-site. Or take the shuttle boat over to Young Island for another culinary experience 🏝️

BrazilThe hotel was quite simple, when we arrived there were a lot of people and children in the pool and common areas that didn't seem like guests. The bed was quite comfortable but the cleaning wasn't perfect, the bathroom left a little to be desired with the floor covering having defects, the water tap of the sink was noisy and poorly adjusted, shower curtain support with patches, shower temperature that is difficult to adjust, etc. The hotel restaurant was simple, but at the same time a little expensive, compared to other restaurants. In general, the hotel was good enough to spend one night, just waiting for the flight the next day, but considering the cost, I wouldn't recommend it for anyone spending more time on the island.
Staff was very friendly and helpfull, check-in was fast and easy, they helped us with the taxi from ferry and to the airport. Bed was confortable, with a good size, sheets and pillows. The AC was new and worked well and the room had a nice size/space for a couple to stay.

Location was amazing, hotel was small but cozy and a beautiful spot right outside the sea. Me and my partner stayed here for a week at the start of march and it made us fall in love with the island, not a massive hotel but gave you the home from home feel, secure and safe, staff are friendly and give good advice to new people visiting the island, basic but classy and clean property! will definitely return, the food at the restaurant was also beautiful and decent portions Wow! Should have booked a longer stay, thank you so much.

We've stayed there many times when travelling out and returning from Bequia. The hotel staff are just wonderful. Warm, friendly and helpful. It has everything we want and more. We almost always get the room we ask for and we enjoy breakfast and dinner at the hotel. If there is any limitation, it is that there is a small garden and there are limited options for walks whilst staying there. However, overall, it suits us just fine and it would always be our first choice on St Vincent.
