How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

I would like to point out that It was the best accommodation we used during our summer holiday. Hosts were very helpful and accommodating. I want to thank especially one of the hosts "bighearted lady". She treated us like she was our mother. Breakfast was excellent.

We finally stayed a week in rumi guesthouse and even booked a tour in Nurata mountains with them. Breakfast was really nice and the family that runs the place is really sweet (especially baby Daniel 🤗🤗🤗) The sister and brother speaks French which can be really nice when you need informations or just to have conversations when you want to learn more about Bukhara and Uzbekistan. We also met great people in this guesthouse and felt like home.

The staff is an amazing family, they will help you with all your questions and are very nice to talk to. Hostel is on a good location, with a lot of places on walking distance.

I liked everything 🙂
I liked everything about this hostel. Truly I haven’t expected such warm hearted people and stuff here. The atmosphere of this place is just amazing, it seemed to me it had something different and magical so it’s attracted by tourists all over the world. I could recommend this hostel to stay, cause the price is good and worthy, the breakfast is included in the price, it should be worth to mention its clean rooms, safety and also I mostly liked hostel’s location. If you want to see the real Uzbekistani hospitality then come to Bukhara and stay here in RUMI for sure ✨👋🏻

The water pressure for the shower was a bit low, and the bathroom had a slightly sulphurous smell which I could smell from my room next door. However, these were very minor issues!
Really helpful staff, 24/7 desk, good WiFi all around the hostel. A very nice spacious courtyard to have meals and talk to other guests.

From the time we touched down to Bukhara we received a courtesy call from the owners of the hotel and we've been met at the gate upon arrival. It is located in the heart of the city. Within a walking distance to anything you wish. Beautiful family atmosphere made me feel at home. Lovely owners who shared knowledge about the story behind the creation of "Rumi" was a treasure. thank you for everything.

I guess I liked the whole shooting match in this guest house. But the most important that i would like to notice are owners of this hotel. We got warm welcome from them with a lot of useful information about Bukhara. We hadn't any problem during our 2 day accommodation in this guest house. The owners of the hotel went the whole 9 yards for our comfort. The room was clean with good plumbing, linens and heating radiators. We had a room with 3 beds for two of us. The room was comfortable and cosy. Breakfast in the mornings was tasty and nutritious. We used our personal car in this trip and it was easy to park our car near the guest house. The hotel is situated in 3 minute walking distance to the Lyabi Hause in ancient part of the city. It was convenient to reach historical monuments and sightseeing's. There were a lot of cafes and restaurants where you can have dinner or supper.
