Great place to stay in Bukhara. The hostel is so nice, neat, tidy and next to the Old Town. The staff is so welcoming, kind and helpful. I do recommend staying at Rumi Hostel.

Friendly, helpful and interesting owners. Quick to respond to my request for a bedside reading lamp. Spacious, uncluttered room with quiet, efficient aircon. Spotlessly clean. Great location just minutes walk from the main square. Generous breakfast.

On arrival (before we got through the door) a man was quite rude to us as we were about to take our shoes off and shouted (outside, NOT inside) not quite the 'friendly guesthouse welcome' we had expected or read about... sorry to say but without Lily this place would not be very popular... she is the only one that makes the effort for people to feel welcome. Also there was a bath tub but weren't allowed to use it

Lily (Nilufar) was very friendly and helpful and even booked some train tickets for us which was a huge help! She was very knowledgeable about the local area and gave us some recommendations. She is a talented linguist who can manage guests in many different languages!

We really loved our stay but were very frustrated that we were not informed about having to pay in cash upon arrival. When we tried to pay during our stay we were repeatedly told we could air care of it later. This went on until 10pm on our last night when we were leaving at 3am the next morning. We were only then informed we had to pay in cash. Luckily a friend traveling with me had cash. Without this I would have been wandering around at night trying to find an ATM.

This hotel for me was like a five-star hotel. I had a room with two single beds. Extremely clean with full facility and breakfast. The location was great. And it was super clean. The owner family lived on the ground floor and were handling the job by themselves. On my last night of stay, we talked together for two hours and shared experiences, and I enjoyed this friendly chat too much. Mr Behrouz the son, helped me how to get train ticket for Khiva and Mr. Ezzatallah the father, woke up at 2 AM to help me get a taxi, and he accompanied me to main street to ensure all is in order. Mrs. Khorshid the wife was very intelligent and friendly, and she prepared for me dinner as Iftar for Ramadhan month. Generally, it was beyond my expectation for two nights each night for just USD 15 for super services Thanks 😊 for all your good hospitality.

The host is very accommodating and welcoming. I stayed late like 3am outside and I didnt know that gates were locked at night. Luckily, when I tried to contact them, the host happily opened the door for me. I was ashamed for disturbing her and her kid on sleep. Please know that I do really appreciate it so much. Nice room and property as well!

They charging 3 dollars more for every night for regestration and actually no any payment for government. Booking .com should not give them open cheque to charge .They charge me extra 5 dollars .
