Unfortunately i had something i my bed. The day i woke up i had red spots everywhere on my body. Its almost impossible that i was biten by mosquitoes.

If u travel with a budget its definitely a good option but dont expect too much. The hostel is good located and extremely cheap for Uruguay. The mattress are hard and old, the kitchen well equipped. The shower has hot water. Staff is super helpful and friendly.

Now I understand why the name is trip. Lot of smokers there. Alot of long term guests. Was told not allowed to bring in alcohol from outside yet everyone else was. Partying most nights. Quiet hours 2am till 10am very late at night and even then not respected by anyone

The bed has a very thin mattress. I could feel the boards underneath, it wasn't bad enough to make it a bad night, but it's something to improve.

The hostel is close to many main attractions and easy to get to. The facilities are okay for what you pay for, and the neighborhood is safe.

As a female solo traveler, I didn't like the atmosphere when I arrived at the hostel. There were barely any women staying there and it wasn't very clean. I stayed in two different dorms and on my second night there was a party going on until 3am, so I couldn't sleep until it was finished.

The hostel was quite cheap for Punta del Este and the location was great.

I booked this hostel because of the good reviews. I had been traveling on my own for a while and really wanted to find somewhere with a nice community vibe. This place definitely wasn't it, and it feels a lot like a bar with a hostel in the back. The common area is basically the bar and an adjacent TV/lounge area that is full of people sleeping all hours of the day so you can't really sit there. The noise from the bar is really loud in the rooms and it goes on late until the night. The four-bed female dorm is tiny and would normally be a single room in most guest houses. There is definitely not enough space for four people plus their bags. The wifi doesn't reach there so you have to rely on data from your phone if you want to do any work, video calls, etc.

You can't really meet other travelers here as this is place is where people that work in Punta del Este live, so don't expect a backpackers spot here at all. Everyone is on their own business and as a traveler you feel like this is not the place to be.

incredibly small room for 6 people in bunk beds, the night I was there was a party in the bar area of the hostel until 6 am and I could barely sleep even with earplugs. my mattress was horrible. I was basically laying on the wooden planks below.

Infested with bed bugs! I had a horrible night, they bit me all over. It was so bad I couldn't stay longer and left early. When I entered the room there was a cat sleeping on one of the beds, I mean, for real???

Perfect lcoation, very close to the bus station and to the iconic fingers on the beach. Also very close to supermarkets and bakeries. Very central location. Friendly staff. Pretty good kitchen. Good wifi.

I wanted to like this place but I need to be honest. 1. Bedbugs. I found bedbugs in 2 beds in the same room, most likely at least the whole 8 bed dorm is infested if not the whole place. Wasn't a nice sleep. I was itching throughout the night and when I turned on my phone's flashlight, I saw a bunch of them crawling on the white sheets. I moved to another bed and the same thing happened. 2. There didn't seem to be any quiet hours. The walls are thin enough that you can hear pretty much every conversation in the main areas. People were pretty loud until 4 am. You get what you pay for. If you actually want to sleep go somewhere else. If you want to hang out drinking until late, it wouldn't be a bad place for the price if it weren't for the bed bugs.

The owner or manager is attentive and the friend at the reception in the morning is helpful. But one of the employees is very unpleasant and rude. First, he spilled the food I cooked into the sink. When I asked why he did it, he thought it was dirty. Then when I asked for ice for water, he said there was none without even looking in the fridge. Then he rudely warned you that you cannot drink beer here. The owner of the hostel said you can pour it into a glass and drink it. but he said no. Finally, he washed the bucket with which he mopped the toilets in the kitchen sink. There are bed bugs in the rooms. I had hundreds of wounds on my body. Even though I had 2 more days, I left early. and no one asked why. Arrogant staff, loud talking and music until the morning, zero hygiene...

The property wasn’t clean. There was a cockroach in the shower, bedding seemed old, I woke up with bed bug bites (!) and we saw a bug on someone else’s bed in our room. There are 3 bathrooms for the property and there were flies in them. There were four lockers and one plug in our room with a small extension plugged in, which sparked when putting in a device. Our room had 6 beds. Location is great, staff were fine but the place itself really needs an uplift. I was charged 2 different prices for 2 nights (£8 the first night and £14 for the second). I didn’t stay the second night as I didn’t feel comfortable and got a refund for that night. Although it’s not a lot of money, it’s expensive for what it is. There are other places in the area within a similar price bracket which offer a lot more and more importantly are clean.

Location of the property is great. It’s right next to the bus station, the beaches and town.
