We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

UruguayCouple of items in room needed attention: Drawer in closet sticking out so that door to closet could not be moved easily. Plastic flange on bottom of shower door missing. Rolled up towel just outside consequently soaking wet, and not much use for drying feet. Past stay this was also an issue, except that flange was on backwards, and same result. Music could be a little lower in lobby. You need a toaster in dining room. Only thing to use appeared to be a waffle iron.

ChileWhen I arrived with a pre booked reservation, at 12:45, they told me to wait, because there where no rooms ready. I had lunch, and at 2pm asked again for the room. Every time, different people at the counter. They said they were still cleaning the rooms and that check in was at three. I waited until three, and nothing happened. Two new people at the reception counter. I told them I would not accept a further delay as it was after 3pm, and that was check in time. I was given a room at 3:20pm. No reasonable explanation. The worst attention I have ever received in a Marriott chain hotel. It seems the personnel is absolutely untrained in the hotel service sector.
Location, cleanliness, room. Service at the restaurant was excellent. Reception at check in, not good.

UruguayI had planned to pay cash, and had asked the staff in advance if I could do so, and was told that I could. When I checked out and tried to pay, they told me that they did not accept “old”dollar bills, whatever that means. The dollar bills were just as good as any, in fact I had withdrawn the bills from the bank just a while earlier. there was no visible sign informing of this. Luckily, I had other means of payment available. Very poor business practice, more so considering it’s a hotel chain.
