Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesWe stayed on the 4th floor. The elevator being down all wk. & having to climb the stairs several times a day was not the most pleasant.
Location, the staff was very helpful..

United StatesThe elevator worked only 20% of the time. 1 day out of 5 and we had a 4 floor room. The resort didn’t seem to have accommodations inside the building for handicapped persons.
Breakfast was great. The statues and sand castles were marvelous.

United StatesElevator was out most of the time we were there, but they moved us to a lower floor to help with steps and distance. Outstanding service in what could have been a tough situation!
The staff was incredible! Annie and the front desk team, Stacey in Concierge, Fritz in Valet, Tim in the restaurant and Stephanie at the Pool were all outstanding, exceedingly helpful and professional. What a great team at The Reach.

ItalyOur breakfast was included but it was not all you can eat. You get the menu and can just eat for a certain amount of money, if you exceed it, you have to pay the difference. Also dinner was way overpriced and the foos medium tasty. The hotel's public spaces were not really clean, but at least the room was clean. Noisy beach as there was a contraction side close by.
Nice beach and water. There is seaweed but the hotel is trying to clean it up regularly. Nice pool and nice rooms. Friendy staff at the reception's frontdesk.

United StatesI believe that the room could be a bit cleaner. For example, I noticed that the bathroom floor had dust and a wrapper in the corner near the sink stall our entire stay. This led me to believe that the floor was not swept daily when towels were changed. When asking for linens to be changed, it took a bit of time. I feel that, for the amount of days that we spent at the facility, the floors should have been mopped and vacuumed and the linens and towels should have been changed daily.
I enjoyed the staff and the service at the restaurant. Brian and Stephanie were fabulous.

United StatesCould use improvement-the pool is very old, the elevator was broken, our bathroom sink had a very loud leak, housekeeping stopped by once during our 4 night stay. The “daily hotel charge” ($55 per day) covers all the things that should be included in the price of your stay.
Excellent-the grounds, the service, the staff (everyone was sooo friendly and helpful!) the location, the room, the food. Good-the beach.

PolandBecause of the hurricane, we didn't get to use the pool or the beach much, or visit the sister resort next door. However it all looked pretty well looked after.
It's very hard to give an accurate review as we stayed during the two days of Hurricane Ian so we didn't get to experience the hotel or the island at its best. However the staff coped very well under the situation. We upgraded the room and it was spacious and had everything we needed. The restaurant was good under the circumstances and the stay was certainly memorable.

United StatesI was not able to enjoy the beach all throughout my stay. From day 1 until the last, there were tons of seaweed turning the water red. It smelt bad and I was really frustrated as I particularly chose this hotel for its private beach. I had to walk to Fort Zachary Park to swim. Secondly, I saw guests smoking by the side of the pool. As a non smoker, this was really annoying. Lastly, if you book breakfast via booking.com, bear in mind that it is a la carte and that you can’t have much. The quality is good though.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean rooms and nice design.

United KingdomThe price doesn't reflect good value for money. Whilst the hotel is clearly meant to ge upmarket I don't feel it is reflected in the condition. Our shower was broken (handle literally came off in your hand) and took ages to heat up. The decor looks tired in places. The onsite restaurant is obscenely over priced. The staff are 50/50 - some were great and others were just flat out unhelpful. We were overcharged for our room charges and a resolution has yet to be offered. Do NOT pay to park either - when leaving the hotel, turn right after going past the restaurant next door and on road parking is free.
The location is excellent, very close to Duval Street and the Southernmost Point. The beach is a nice addition and the rooms are ok.
