Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesIt has lost much of its appeal over the last decade. They removed their sweet mini golf course in their play area in the basement which was a great part of family enjoyment and instead replaced it with arcade games. I wish they would bring back the mini golf and put the arcade games in the club room instead as a confined arcade room. Still easy to find and in the same proximity but not THE focus for families wanting to spend time together. Arcade games aren’t why families want to visit the Poconos. They chose to remove and not replace a beautiful mural in the pool area on the balcony wall. This old fashioned painting was always so lovely to see and would’ve been understandable if they had to redo it from mold but instead it’s just empty and sad. They’ve removed the billiards table and one of the ping pong tables. Luckily the two remaining aren’t always occupied. The staff is mostly great but over the years, there’s occasionally a few younger employees in the market (ice cream area) that are a little unpleasant/ short and even when it’s not busy in there seem a little annoyed to help. The ski hills look very run down from the road point of view, it looks like they’ve not been tended to in a decade. Maybe they did away with the skiing opportunity in winter but that’s also unfortunate… We used to be able to pick up beanbags outside for corn hole but were told this trip that they don’t leave it out except bring it out when they hold a corn hole activity that day. There used to be a large small human size chess board on the south lawn and that was removed as well
They offer some unique activities such as lawn bowling and the grand march which has always brought much excitement to our family. In the winter, they have indoor ice skating which is also great. They have a long list of activities for weekends, great but it stinks when 2-3 interesting activities are scheduled at the exact same time instead of spread over other hours where nothing is scheduled. Breakfast buffet is wonderful between their omelette station and their house made smoothies and overnight oats. We love the pools, the three options close together of full size, kid’s, and hot tub are great, and the outdoor pool being right outside there is fantastic. They offer tea, lemonade and cookies in the lobby for guests an hour each day, this is very cute. The lobby is enjoyable to spend time in and sit by the fire. The back porch offers nice views and the library bar is interesting and fun. We always look forward to the observation deck. They have a small gym near the pool and decent size locker rooms for pool and gym area. The inn has a pro shop which has a decent selection of items. The inn appears well-kept and very quiet which I believe is why some people choose to stay there- to be away from some business of the main lodge. The Lakeview restaurant at the inn is aesthetically pleasing and there is a small, nice rooftop area to enjoy. Unfortunately their menu rarely appeals to me and last time I tried something it was dry and not enjoyable. For the price, I am not sure it’s worth bothering to chance an entrees again but perhaps the appetizers and drinks will do. The Windsor Dining room has a few good options on the dinner menu. The Tap Room is nice to go and sit in or enjoy takeout but the burgers were burnt and overcooked when I ordered medium rare and there aren’t a lot of options that sound great but a few work. The gift shop downstairs is nice, but wish they had better options for adult and children’s clothing.

United StatesExpensive. Not many indoor activities for when weather is bad. Food was pricey and could have been better.
Beautiful atmosphere. Staff were extremely courteous, friendly, and knowledgeable, especially Robertus (valet) and Chris (history tour guide).

Enjoyed the stay at the resort. The associates at the front desk and the concierge are so warm and friendly. The highlights are two trails " Trout Stream Trail to Indian Ladder Falls" and "Woodland Wildlife Safari" guided by naturalist Rick Koval on both Saturday and Sunday. He is so knowledgeable that his accompany made us a lifelong memory of the Skytop visit. Definitely will recommend this resort to our friends.

United StatesThe only thing that was unappealing was the outside temperature and wind. Not to worry tho, we had plenty to do and enjoyed the warmth within its walls.
We have visited Skytop for various events, but never stayed over. So glad we decided to actually stay for a weekend. The hotel has a variety of things for guests to do, according to your own schedule. This place goes way out of its way to insure your happiness during your stay. The Friday reception was amazing and delicious! Our room was comfortable and the bed was rejuvenating.

United StatesThe room, while charming, may be too small for a party of three, and the provided additional mattress was not comfortable and it smelled old. My 5-year-old refused to sleep there.
Dinner: The dinner was good, and I enjoyed it. However, if you're travelling with little kids, you can find that the buffet can get quite expensive. Fortunately, there are several other cafes on the property that offer alternatives. Breakfast: I enjoyed the breakfast, but you wished there were more gluten-free, vegetarian, and wheat-free options available. Room: The room was excellent in terms of charm but a bit small for three people. I found the additional mattress provided by the hotel to be uncomfortable and smelling old. Overall, the hotel offers a pleasant dining experience, with room for improvement regarding meal options for specific dietary needs.
