Hallways smelled like weed. The coffee maker in my room was broken.

On site parking that was included in the rate was very nice. The room was clean. I paid for a lake view and received a lake view. Staff was very friendly. The coffee maker in the lobby was nice.

1. The parking lot needs to be resurfaced and painted. Rough ride and hard to distinguish parking spots. 2. This is pretty far south of the loop, Mag Mile, Navy Pier and other tourist destinations in the city. I would recommend to tourists only if they are comfortable driving in the city. Plus, it is like three minutes off Lake Shore Drive

Super convenient location for my overnight business trip—beer festival at Museum of Science and Industry. Relatively cheap room that comes with free parking and breakfast, plus a view of the lake at sunrise! Even though I stayed on a Saturday night, the hotel itself was pretty quiet and we saw very few other guests during the stay. My impression is the hotel doesn’t have many rooms, which is great. The bed and pillows were surprisingly comfortable (no bed bugs, either, we always examine bedding with flashlights before use). Check-in and -out were a breeze. No problem getting a free parking spot, either.

Close to the Metra Metropolitan Rail, trains to Downtown Chicago every 30 minutes about 20 minute ride, conductors on the train selling tickets $3.75 one way.

Room was large. Staff was always smiling and welcoming. Breakfast was refilled in a timely manner. There is a spot to charge electric vehicles. Very nice walking/jogging path across the street. My nephew slept on the pull out couch and there was a black bra left from a previous guest underneath the couch. :(

Our toilet was clogged. I got a plunger from the desk and fixed it my self. Because there was no maintenance available at the time! Also the surrounding of the building was a little scary and sketchy probably wouldn't of care about it if my daughter's weren't with me. Other than that everything was great. They did offer me a different room but we were on a rush!

The cleaning of the carpet can be improved. The TV remote and cable were not working. The mini market was low in variety.

We have 2 big bugs in one of our beds which was super gross. The staff did help get this resolved very quickly, so I’ll give them that.

That one of the rooms that was offered had an overwhelming smell that there was a fire. It was true, the room was renovated but had a fire as well as the floor was soaked with water from the air conditioning unit. I was moved to another room but finally did not get situated until after 1:30 am. I was still impressed with the staff! We all worked together until a happy median was reached.

The staff was amazing! I had recently had surgery and the staff at such a short notice accommodated my needs. The app showed an accommodation on the website that was not available upon our arrival and the property switched my room x4 until my needs were met. Thank you!

I didn’t like the people that was hanging around the outside of the hotel, I’m not sure why there were so many people and kids sitting outside throughout the day and night, like it was their home. Definitely made me uncomfortable when I arrived because I wasn’t sure if it right location due the hotel sign says Best Western and underneath it had Chicago Lakeshore hotel. It made me second guess myself but when I entered the hotel it was very nice. I didn’t like I had to put a $100 deposit down even though I paid in advance. They stated it was only a hold and it will be released after checkout (if no damage) I was unaware of this and didn’t it this on site and the guy at the front desk was clueless when it came to locating this deposit on website.

The breakfast was good (hot breakfast), the room was good and clean (just like the picture). I enjoyed the free parking (covered garage is small). Staff was friendly and polite.

the breakfast had a very limited choice. The bed is not very comfortable. At the check in there were two persons (call them A and B) and one guest. I arrived and asked to the B because A was talking with the other guest. B told me they were making the check-in for the guest, so I had to wait. After some minutes the guest moved away, so I asked again to both of them, and they told me in a rude way that the first guest was still making the check-in. How could I know? Anyway A continued making check in and the B looked at her. After other minutes A went away, and B(alone) made me the check-in!!!!

Breakfast didn’t start until 7 am. Too late for my work schedule. It was posted as beginning at 6 am.

The location is perfect for my purposes. On-site parking was super convenient.

Only have one elevator

Location it’s very convenient, you just walk 5 minutes and you can take the bus to the downtown. The staff were very nice, the breakfast was really good in compare with other hotels the same range.
