Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesThe front door to the actual hotel room building does not close properly- so it in essence was open all the time to anyone. The room was not that clean- food or drink remnants were visible on my nightstand- cleaner obviously does not have a good eye. The toilet was constantly filling its self up every 10 minutes and had nasty brown stains in the bowl. I hope that they were water stains from years on neglect cleaning and not you know what. The chest of drawers was falling apart- come4 one you can do better than this- its basic stuff. Very happy my wife had to cancel the trip otherwise we would have had to move somewhere else
Front Door staff were very helpful in allowing me to check in early upon arrival. Great location right in Little Italy- walking distance to Balboa Park, Downtown, marina and more. The bed was quite comfortable.

Austriaapart from small repairs that would be necessary in the room, the corridor to the rooms on the first floor has a smell that takes some getting used to. i would also prefer it if the stairs could be used for more than just emergencies.
well - it is what it is. the description is accurate. it's not a luxury hotel - but we didn't expect that. the room was okay. the bed was very comfortable and everything was clean. a few small things might need repair, e.g. a shelf in the bathroom that only has the brackets left, but the location in little italy is very good and it's also close to the highway. the staff at check-in was incredibly friendly and helpful.

This hotel is very well located in Little Italy. Places were within walking distance. The area is clean and has a number of restaurants. The room was clean and god for what I needed.
