Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesMore staff in the Bistro restaurant. It seemed they were overwhelmed and the wait time for our food was long. The food was very good.
We felt very secure in this downtown location in Seattle. The room itself was quiet even though we could hear the noises of the street outside, which is typical for that location. The staff was very helpful and generous with information and valet parking was awesome!

United StatesI didn't like that room service is not available and the ice maker not available on each floor. I wish the TV was closer to the bed so you could watch from bed.
We very much appreciate the gentleman who checked us in when we arrived. He took the time to tell us about the area and provide us with a map and directions. We appreciated his friendliness and humor. He made us feel welcome! Beds were comfortable and our room, a king water front room was spacious with a sofa, fridge and microwave. Love the pillows.

United KingdomUnfortunately the pool was closed which was a shame as we weren't told in advance. Also the area around the back of the hotel had a homeless/drugs problem and we didn't really feel safe going out at night, but that wasn't the fault of the hotel. The city of Seattle has a problem with people on the streets, as have many other cities along the west coast of America. Which is really sad
The hotel was in a good location to most attractions and the train station, The space needle and cruise port were only a 30- 40 min walk away. The reception staff were excellent and also allowed us to check in early, as we arrived by cruise ship, which was great 👍

United StatesOne of our windows was facing the alley and every so often you could literally see people in the alley shooting up drugs. A bit scary to see that when you have little kids in the room too. The building is older and so the windows are a bit thin which let in a lot of cold air.
The room was a great size, the restaurant had delicious food and the valet people were very professional. I was a bit nervous about the area but felt safe walking outside to and from the Seattle Sounders game. We were also able to walk to the boardwalk without any issues.

PhilippinesJust that there's too much dimmed lights? Maybe can adjust because while staying I was working, though this does not affect the services because it was superb.
The room itself is quite spacious. Close to ChinaTown and Target. Can do walking distance. Services such as free coffee at the lobby was really good too. Secured location.

AustraliaAs an old building the windows are really thin so it was pretty noisy at night with all the city sirens and other noises. Some may not feel safe in this area at night but we had no issues. No kettle in the room so we had to go get hot water from the bar when we wanted a hot drink other than coffee.
Great value for the city. Good location if coming/going by train as a short walk from king st station. If not it’s about a 10 minute walk from the main area of town so you will walk into out of town each day. Restaurant/bar onsite was very convenient.

United StatesThe position of tv, we prefer to watch in bed at a hotel so even though it was able to be pulled out it was a bit far to watch. Refrigerator was not easy to keep on and as cold as preferred, also was broken- couldn’t keep anything in the door due to missing pieces. The small convenience store was pretty over priced for the items. Bed was a bit hard.
Things were in walking distance that we were there for, had a couch, microwave refrigerator ect. Hotel staff were friendly and responsive. Room was nice, seemed clean.

United StatesThe staff was wonderful. Every member of staff from the valet, front desk, to housekeeping were friendly and helpful. We were there for a Seahawks game and the location of the hotel was perfect. There are so many cool bars and restaurants within a short walking distance. The room was spacious and very clean. We have stayed at many hotels in that area for games and this is our favorite. This will be our game day hotel from now on.
