Room was pretty humid. Every time air conditioner cycled on there was a loud thumping noise made that sounded like a door was being slammed. This was reported to the front staff.

Peaceful location. Lots of hiking trails within the state park. Trail 3 (right off the parking lot) takes you to a waterfall less than a two block distance away. Buffet available for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The only reason I did not give the room a 10 was that they need new mattresses, which I was told by the front desk will be coming this summer.

This was for my daughters wedding. We found the staff to be very accommodating and friendly! The rooms were clean , comfortable, and of course the atmosphere appropriate for state park inn. The food was excellent as was the service!

BEDS!! If they don’t want to replace all of the beds then they should at least replace some of them and give customers the option. It must be a common complaint because the front desk attendant knew why I was leaving before I even told her. She asked me specifically if the beds were the reason we were leaving or if there was another issue.

The first room was very tiny and didn’t have a fridge. Just a bed and a tiny bathroom But the staff immediately upgraded our room to one that was more suitable. The only reason we aren’t giving a 100% overly satisfied review is because the bed was worse than the floor. I actually slept in the floor and on the chair at the kitchen table because the beds were so uncomfortable. However, BEST PILLOWS EVER!!! I wish I could buy the pillows because they were amazing. The staff were so kind and friendly. They helped us with everything and accolades us throughout the upgrade process as well as the leaving early in the morning, a day early. We originally booked a stay for 2 nights but my husband has some medical issues and I work more than 80 hours a week so this was our relax and enjoy one anothers company without being bothered type of getaway but it’s not possible to relax if the bed hurts every muscle, bone, and joint in your body. The food at the restaurant was really good. If they ever get new beds then we will for sure come back. It’s a very beautiful place with lots of things to look at and would be a perfect relaxation stay once the beds are replaced.

Most of the State Park lodges are in need of an upgrade. McCormick's Creek Inn is one of them. The room was fine but need a renovation sometime soon.

We have property in Owen County and visit occasionally. We usually reserve a room at the end. The park gives us time for hiking and we love the dining room porch to watch the birds during our breakfast.

Room smaller than normal, but charming. Weather was too cold for us to investigate the park much.

Very nice restaurant at the Inn. Ate there several times and loved that it was right there and convenient. You can watch the birds eat from the windows of the restaurant. Beautiful lobby and beautiful park! Staff were very friendly and helpful. Relaxing trip. Great price for the room off-season. Besides the park, lots available to do within 1/2 hour or so of the park. Will probably come again when we can see more of the park.

Not enough of the trails were opened & we were not notified ahead that we would not be able to go back to water falls and other parts of the park. This was our first visit to this State Park & we were disappointed because of the trails. It may have been better to stay at Brown County or Turkey Run. Don't know if we will return.

It is a good location & food in the restaurant was very good. We were there when they offered the buffet & lots of good choices.

Overall good stay. Didn't expect hotel was in a state park! Room had a park feel, and was clean and comfortable. Room next store had a unhappy baby (fully understand and been there!) that made sleeping in a little hard, but that has nothing to do with the quality of the hotel, room or staff! Little farther out from Bloomington then I would have liked but the price was great!!! Would consider in future.

It was a little noisy one evening due to a wedding reception that was next to my room but really not that bad.

Check in was a fiasco. Booked online and never showed up on your end. I even showed on my phone where it was reserved. After a long day and waiting on this it put damper on trip.

Have to pay admission to the park to get to the hotel. It is in the country so roads can be dark if arriving late to the hotel.

Check in staff is very friendly and efficient. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Although we didn't try it there is an onsite restaurant that looks very nice. The Inn is located in a beautiful state park.

The bathroom was tight even if there was a sliding door it would of been more manageable. I can’t give you any other negatives since I expected tighter quarters with the time it was built.

Very clean and staff was helpful and friendly . The location was relaxing just wish I had more time to explore outdoors. Will give me reason to return.
