The lights were on and off in the main hall way. There was no security at the front desk in our building and we realized the next morning our door did not lock from the outside. The first day we had no hot water for showers.

breakfast really basic and not compatible with a 4 star hotel, the rooms on the ground floor are humid and dark-no real windows, the rooms and the reception area are divided by a very trafficked road-annoying to cross every time as the drivers obviously do not stop for pedestrians, the bedding and pillows are old and look like they have seen better days.

We asked for an early check in and gave an approximate time, but there was no one at the reception...the security guard when around looking for them for about 20 mins before they were found...in the meantime we were outside in the parking lot with no information...and did not feel very secure. Could have much better coffee...Uganda is a great coffee producing country!!

Really great staff, and a real effort has been made to make the facilities pleasant and clean.

Breakfast could be a little more diverse. It's okay though. TV has limited selection but internet was sufficient for things like Netflix. Decor is well considered and classy.

Location was good for me because it was near our offices, nice grocery store around the corner and a mall with eateries and shopping a short walk away. Quiet rooms!

The hotel hallways and outdoor areas were not well lit so you it is not easy to sit outside in the evenings. The gym was just a single treadmill and the pool was being renovated or something so it was not available.

The overall hotel grounds were beautiful, especially for someone who likes France or Europe.

Terrible ‘gym’ and ‘pool’. Front of house lady was awful - forgot to give me my key when I checked in. Very unhelpful throughout. To top it off, tried to charge me $30 extra on my hotel rate - when I pointed it out she shrugged her shoulders. Will not be coming back.

Restaurant could out more time and energy into what they offer and making sure they have items on hand.

This is the most unique beautiful hotels in Kampala. You feel like you just stepped onto the streets of France when the noice and bustle of Kampala is literally steps away. We love this place!

At times, there is a lot of traffic when crossing the street to go from the room to breakfast; however, the hotel usually has a staff member to stop traffic (which is very helpful!!).
