Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomThe a/c did not work properly in my room the first night. It was fixed the next night after I mentioned it, however the issue came back on the third night.
Very spacious clean bedroom and bathroom. The staff was attentive and all amenities were available. The hotel overall looks very nice and I felt welcome.

I had a wonderful stay at Golden Tulip. It's in a really handy spot, easy to get to everything. The staff were so nice, always smiling and helping out. The breakfast was amazing, lots of fresh, tasty food. Everything was super clean too. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants a friendly, clean spot in a great location with a top-notch breakfast. It's fantastic!

UgandaThe air conditioning in the rooms is not effective I.e doesn’t cool the room enough for a comfortable night’s sleep. I also shared this with the front desk staff during a previous stay and they said they are working on it but quite evidently they have not done anything as I had the same issue during my stay this week.
The staff are proactive, friendly ,helpful and polite in terms of cleanliness all areas in the hotel are spotlessly clean, the view of Kampala at night is beautiful and they have ample basement parking. bathrooms are very nice with rain drop showers and they also go the extra mile and provide complimentary basic amenities like tooth brush, paste , shower gel, shampoo,etc which in my situation turned out to be very useful saving me the hassle of going to buy toiletries.
