Very good location right in old town! The staff is super friendly, breakfast was very nice. The room I stayed in was very small (as expected) but with a comfortable bed. It is good value for money.

The dorm rooms are really small. I was lucky as we were only two people in the room at that time, but if it is fully booked, I imagine it being too small for comfort and for all the suitcases/backpacks.

The location is very central in Stone Town and also conveniently close to the ferry. The property is beautiful and quite. The dorm rooms have AC and windows so they are well aired.

its a bit of a challenge at first to find this hotel but once you find it, its easy to come back to it after exploring stone town.

Location was excellent. The room i booked was small double room, which was indeed small. It only had the place for the double bed and a fan. But with the price you pay, it is all worth it. They offer breakfast which was not bad at all. The host Markus was quite active in responding to my questions on whatsapp. He was kind and answered all my questions and special requests too.

Air condition was only a fan so not what we were expecting. There was a leak in the toilet so the bathroom floor was constantly wet with toilet water, the drain pipe air vent was also in the bathroom so sewer smells came into the room every time any water was used. The local town was nice, lovely beach, however wouldn’t stay there for the same length of time again, would recommend booking a few different places around the island and staying on the move, much better experience.

Staff were very nice, they let us leave our bags there for the day after we checked out. Would recommend hiring a car for a day or two and driving the island, great way of seeing everything, however the driving isn’t for the faint of heart!

Bathroom needs upgrading

The location was perfect The room was value for money.

The room had no windows to the outside, so it was a bit stuffy and frankly damp even after a short use of the bathroom. I had stayed here before in a room upstairs and that was a lot better. There were also some little things in the bathroom that might need repair, but overall, for the price, it's still quite good.

The location near to the water front and in the heart of the old town is fantastic. Everything is within easy reach and the pice is unbeatable.

They don’t take credit card even though they say they do. (Booking.com) did nothing about this. No AC! So depending on what time of year.. you may cook in your room, even if you windows are open. (We went in January) I took multiple showers throughout the night to stay “cool”. No wifi in my room.

Misunderstanding about the payment of the breakfast, which I did at the reception. The restaurant staff didn’t check nor ask me but were quick in accusing me that I did not pay

Bathroom. Shared kitchen no option for food arrived late. Wanted drink but was hard to get.

This hotel has a great location. It is close to the beach and all the major sights in stone town. Rooms are comfortable and clean and I looked forward to breakfast everyday. Very nice spanish omelets.

We booked a superior triple room, but received a small double with a single bed crammed in. When it rained, the water came in & ran down the walls and soaked our suitcase. The fan in the bathroom didnt work, so it was very damp inside. There's nowhere to hang anything or shelves, so our bags were on the floor.

The location is perfect. In walking distance of everything...the harbour for the ferry, the beach, the market, Forodhani Park and lots of restaurants. The breakfast was excellent, especially the banana pancakes and ginger tea. A beautiful building and layout.

The basin the bathroom leaked a bit

The hotel is very conveniently located, close to all the main sights in stone town. The breakfast was yummy. We had fruit, banana pancakes and spanish omelet.

The only problematic thing was the air in the room, it where no working aircondition and the fans did not help a lot when we where 5 people at the same room
