Location of the resort is superb, provided one is looking for calmness & privacy. We enjoyed it!! The facilities are great, the jetty, beach and swimming pool are perfect, the staff is extremely friendly. Julya, the general manager, looks to be a great leader as her staff are professional, helpful, friendly and they seem to be very happy. We had chrismas evening at the resort and the team had setup a great entertainment event, incl. dancing by the staff themselves. Julya also allowed us to take care of our luggage for a few days while we went on safari, even though we were not returning to Zanzi resort as it was fully booked. We'll certainly be back here on a next trip to Zanzibar!

Excellent personally curated food (we're vegetarians) and drinks. Staff are exceptionally warm and attentive. All events are so personally done and yet give you a slice of what Zanzibari and Tanganyika culture is. Rooms are amazing, especially the ocean view villas - which had (for us) 3 different private beach access routes, plenty sunbathing spaces, and a private pool. An in-resort jungle running / walking path, outdoor gym, jetty for sundowners and snorkelling from, a very intimate spa and prepared excursions. Managers, especially Julia (/Yulia sp.), supported by Nivot, Alexandra, Mudi, were excellent.

Beach was the key disappointment as there was barely some sand, we only walked on rocks with the kids to see some crabs, no swimming. A bit slow on food service and some items were not available in the menu.

We stayed in the Villas and the private pool with beach access was an absolute dream. The staff is world class and I dream of my return to the Zani Resort! Great food from their incredible chef and the staff was a standout highlight during my time in the region. 10/10

Villa has only one bathroom. Toilet seat has no water supply for wash..only for flush. When ordering the food by phone, order comes inaccurate with lost items and there were no standardised ammounts or so we had to order more to be sure about the quantity.

Zanzi resort is very good place for couple to having holidays. The staffs there are warm and nice. Especially I want to recommend the dinner there. We have had 3 dinner there and all the menu are different. The cheif should cook for the president of Tanzania. Really delicious!

Maybe we expected a bit more high end styling of the villa. The interior does look a bit outdated and simple, although everything is comfortable. Maybe light duvets and bigger bed sheets can be used, the sheets did not fit the full bed.

We loved the small-scale intimate style resort with beautiful jungle surroundings, excellent staff and great food! We stayed at the ocean view villa with private pool and had absolutely everything we needed. Option to have late breakfast and food in your villa is great! Staff is fantastic

Staff were really friendly and accommodating. The property has left the surrounding nature untouched which means you can go for a walk and spot some local wildlife - we saw lots of red squirrels and even an elephant shrew! There is a great jetty to walk along and watch sunset from. The pool is lovely and the food also really tasty.

This resort is located in the area without wide natural beach. There is a small artifitial beach created, but as you step into water, you realize the bottom is uncomfortable and the sea is dark and turbid. However, you can use Standup paddleboard for free to explore the surroundings. Besides that, they even offer a free snorkeling/sunset tour on an old wooden boat! Luckily, we came here after stay another hotel where we had a very a good beach. So, having a perfect beach here was no more necessary, and we ejoyed the magical forest and our overall experience was fantastic.

This resort is located in a beautiful tropical paradise with very rich greenery and amazing natural sounds - a truly magical experience! They have an excellent swimming pool without smell of chlorine! Villas have well isolated theritory - for feeling of privacy and freedom. The hotel as such is located in an isolated area far from villages and other hotels. I was amazed how smart and proactive is the personnel in this hotel, excellent service! Meal is a la carte (very large choice for breakfast, and fixed menu with several rounds for dinner). In short, this is a perfect place to escape from a hectic world and enjoy unity with nature! This hotel is located close to Cheetah's rock - takes ~2.5 km walk or ~10 min taxi.

We chose Zanzi Resort for our honeymoon. It couldn't have been more perfect. Hakuna matata. After seeing the pictures and other reviews, we were confident this was the right place for us. The small resort (13 villas) and staff team gave the chance to get to know people over the week and a half we were there. The team were inviting and hospitable, yet discrete. With an ocean access villa and caccooned by gardens on all sides, there was all the privacy in the world. Delicious food from the 5-course tasting menu each night. Quantities of fresh fruit every day (bananas and mangos will never taste the same again..), plus the chilled coconuts and hibiscus juice kept us going. On our last day, we took the hotel's Dhow tour out to Prison Island, the sandbank, and a tour through Stone Town before heading back under sail for dinner and departure. One of the most magical days of the whole trip. Being away 1-in-10 weeks of the year for work, this resort redefined what it means to relax. It felt good to find a smaller boutique resort too. I don't have enough good things to say about Zanzi Resort. Asante sana!

This place is AMAZING. the staff gave exceptional customer service. You will not go wrong by staying here I love the l green & beautiful trees & flowers on the grounds that the resort has. My Villa was beautiful so much space inside & out. Breakfast & and dinner were included for my meals during my entire stay. The food was really very good !!! The view from my villa was just breathtaking. You can have room service with no extra charge. It was very peaceful like you were on your own little island alone. My room was very spacious and clean.The bed was very big & comfortable The bridge on the property you can go and relax and watch the sunset. I love the private pool that my villa had.. There are so many hidden gems to see on this private property. Wifi works great. I love that ny villa has great privacy. No one can see you at all. Great privacy fence !!!! Staff was just amazing. Every member was kind. I will be back

The resort is rather secluded. Exactly what we were looking for, but not everybodys cup of tea. You can do some snorkeling below and around the jetty, but don't expect too much.

A wonderful Resort where you might feel like Tarzan and Jane in the midst of jungle. If it wasn't for the most friendly and helpful staff. And if it wasn't for the kitchen, every bite a delight, be it breakfast or dinner. The birthday-surprise will make a lifetime memory!
