Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

NetherlandsThe location was okay, about 40 minutes from the International Airport of Dar es Salaam. The breakfast was okay realizing that you are in Tanzania. The hotel had a pool but we did not use it. We walked to a small rocky beach which was a 25 minute walk along a main road. The bed was nice and big. The shower was modern and had good pressure and warm water.

With its beautiful interior architecture, location and price-quality balance, it has become a place where I can bring my guests with peace of mind. There are humble hotel owners and friendly staff. If you are looking for a quiet and peaceful accommodation option, this may be your favorite hotel.

TanzaniaNo tv in the room. No atmosphere or comfortable place to work in the general area. Poor exit procedure - credit card facilities did not work, ended up having to pay cash in different currency to that quoted.
Clean bedding. Hot water in the shower. No chair or desk in the room. Nowhere to sit except on the bed? Staff were cheerful, but unable to do anything or make decisions to benefit the guest.

United StatesIf you like small luxurious hotels then Upendo should be your go to place while in Dar.The rooms were extremely spacious , well lit and clean. Enjoyed excellent services by the staff, peace and quiet at the hotel without forgetting the hefty and delicious breakfast .
