Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe fourth room would be enhanced by having a portable fan, as it was too hot. We couldn't open windows because of the insects and some of the window netting was compromised. The host was a bit off with us on the day of departure and we were not sure why.
Host was very warm and welcoming and helpful on arrival. The house is well appointed, good wifi and spacious, the beds were luxurious. Very nice to occupy the whole house. Hot water and showers worked well. Lovely fruit filled garden with views. Grateful for the flexibility to add a fourth occupant into the smaller fourth bedroom. Good communications with the owner. The property has potential to be excellent.

United KingdomI liked everything.
It is a beautiful house, completely spotless just on the edge of town which means it really is lovely and quiet - which was really important for me. It has everything you need (including WiFi and mosquito nets), provides a great communal space but also wonderful spacious rooms which are nicely decorated. I found it to be the perfect place to relax but also to get some work done. To top it all off, the staff are wonderful - kind, funny and helpful. This is probably my favourite I have stayed in Moshi, and I have been here many many times over ten years.

NetherlandsLittle bit further away from town, but in 5 min with motorcycle/tuktuk you are in centre. For us no problem.
Very lovely and clean house. Nice design of the sleeping room. We loved the spacious green garden. Amazing stay to rest before starting to climb the Kilimanjaro! Nice healthy breakfast as well.

United KingdomA couple of the tours we planned through wadudu adventures didn’t exactly go to plan, but feedback was taken on board by Lisa and Joel, so there shouldn’t be any similar issues in future. In the end the tours were still fun and enjoyable!
It was a pleasure to stay with Lisa and Joel (and little Alika!) in their guesthouse. It was our honeymoon and they made the room feel very special on arrival. Always super friendly and helpful, with lots of advice for things to do etc. The whole place was kept very clean, bed with mosquito net was comfy and shower worked fine. Overall a very comfy and enjoyable stay

United StatesThe Wadudu hosts were incredibly accommodating and welcoming. The wifi was amazing and I took the best shower I had in a long time. They were very helpful with navigating Moshi and even offered to give me and my friend a lift. I was very pleasantly surprised with my stay at Wadudu. Definitely recommend!

United KingdomI regret not asking for the recipe of the local specialty I had for dinner. It was delicious!
I stayed before and after climbing mount Kilimanjaro and choosing Lisa and family's townhouse ended up being an extremely pleasant surprise, especially for a solo traveler : their kindness, best wishes and encouragements then congratulations helped me get the right spirit before and and the cheering needed after! The room itself was comfortable, spotless clean and great value for money. Breakfast was exquisite, copious and healthy! And do try their dinner, just waw! Thank you for this fantastic stay and human experience! It's a great memory I'm leaving with!

Ukraine- the place was hard to find and it was a bit difficult to contact the owner. It seems as she is in a different country and has a local lady coming to check on the place - I booked the room with private bathroom and the lady put me in the room with the shared one - when I asked to put me in the room that I booked, my „upgrade“ turned out to be tiny room where the bed bare can fit in. -the ventilation of the house is not happening. I struggled to breathe. - when the lady taking care of the place opened the window. She left the lights on and didn’t close the net, so my room got full of bugs -besides that there are a lot of big ants. They also seem to live in the toilet since when i flushed it in the morning at least 30 of them fell down in the water :( - in general the lady taking care of the place seemed a bit out of our planet and was asking me weird inappropriate questions - at the end i came with my guide to climb Kilimanjaro the next day and the owner complained to him on the next day for entering the common area which seemed a bit racist to me. - also i was alone at the house and it felt weird that in case of the emergency there is no one to help or even contact. - breakfast was not included which is not a good value given the price you usually have at least something, especially in town like Moshi where a little of people start the climb Overall I felt not taken care of and would not recommend this place. Maybe it is better in the high season but it still was one of the least value I got over my 5 weeks in Tanzania
I only stayed one night so i didn’t notice much to like:/
