Everyone was super friendly and ready to help! As soon as I booked I was contacted by an employee to ask if he could assist with anything. Immediately we arranged for a cheap airport pickup (20€) and a dinner that was awaiting us when we arrived since the kitchen closed before our arrival time. We had the rooftop terrace to ourselves! A great way to begin our Zanzibar adventure. Great location too. Close to beach and winding roads with shops!

Pillows too hard and huge, at times a strange smell from the drains I think but not too bad. Breakfast was good but room for improvement at that price e.g. coffee could be better, they should serve water and better quality sausages

The room, the friendly staff, the central location and the beautiful spaces around the hotel. Very tastefully designed keeping the essence of the old building combined with modern touches. A real gem in the heart of stone town, I would definitely book again!

This place offers two small bottles of water for brushing but did not offer water for drinking. At 9:30 pm when asked for drinking water, they said the cafeteria is closed and asked us to get water from nearby store. At the outside store, the water is 50c, but since we didn’t have enough cash we couldn’t get the water. In the morning when we asked for water, they told us to get it from the restaurant above. I felt little off, as this place is a hotel and not an airbnb, should be able to offer 24/7 drinking water and it would have been nice if they got the water from the restaurant instead of asking us to go get it. At the end they charged us 3$ for water bottle, which is only 50c outside. I highly recommend getting water from outside store.

This place is as described. Staff is good. Room is clean. Bathroom and shower were really good. Close to the beach. This is a 183 year old house which is remodeled. Ambience is great. Food is delicious.

The only thing that bothered me a bit was at 5 in the morning on the last day I was there, I heard people talking on the floor of my room so it woke me up but it wasn’t for too long. Also the room didn’t have a lot of lighting at night, but it was a really nice room and good value in regards to American standards.

The room was immaculate, the people were amazing, the breakfast was top notch!! Frank, the resident manager, was super nice as was everyone else. They let us keep our luggage there when we went out to explore as well so that was helpful. The location couldn’t be any better! When my boyfriend wasn’t feeling well they let us have a late check out and gave us some tea… I was very thankful for that! Asante sana!

This must be one of the best places to stay in Stone Town. Amazing, spacious rooms and bathroom. Delicious breakfast with a great view. Amazing staff that made our stay even better. This place really exceeded our expectations and we cannot wait to come back. :)

Great place to stay, during our short stay at the Stone Town. Hotel is located directly in the center, so everything is in walking distance. Staff were super nice, room was clean and hotel has great historic feeling. Recommend !

There is no swimming pool.

The location is great, and the staff are friendly and helpful. It's close to local attractions, including restaurants, bars, and the beach is a short distance. The room was comfortable and well maintained, although the building wasn't modern.
