Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

VietnamThe price for the room with breakfast was good (50usd), but anything you need on top is very very expensive compared to anywhere else in this region and in Tansania. For example: -laundry service for small bag of clothes 50.000Tsh (20usd) -Small beer 0,35l. 10.000Tsh (4usd) -Bottle of african wine 50.000Tsh (20usd)
The staff is very friendly and helpful. The dinner and the breakfast is super delicous, the best so far in Tansania for us.

PitcairnShowers were a little basic but once the water gets hot its quite good. It can get noisy if you stay in the room after morning hours because of the main road but you should really be on safari then ;)
Staff are great and we stayed here three times, once even got a upgrade to a family room because there was a power cut and they couldn't receive our confirmation so the regular rooms were already booked up. They also serve excellent breakfast and lunch/dinner if you request it. There isn't much around the lodge so you'd have to take a car town for eating and groceries.

Jordanextremely friendly staff, food was great. Rooms are basic with everything you need, and the hot shower was nice and welcome after a day in the dust of Ngorongoro. The set up was great for our family- one room with a king bed, and another with a double bed + single for the kids

United KingdomThe young Maasai lad working at the lodge was fantastic. He worked so hard to ensure we enjoyed our stay. The Manager is also a very nice gentleman. On the day we were leaving he took us all the way into town and helped make sure we got on the correct bus to Arusha. The breakfast was really excellent and included fresh juice, delicious home made pancakes, eggs, peanut butter and honey and a big selection of fruit. We really enjoyed the 3-course dinner which was delicious. Our room was good, especially the beds which are super soft and comfortable. Location is really good if you want to be based near Ngorongoro and the other nearby attractions. The property boasts some nice areas for sitting around relaxing as well as a lovely cat that spends much of its time sitting around relaxing. This is a really good value for money property run by lovely people

upon our arrival we were greeted with cold fruit juice. This was so wonderful we stayed an extra night. The staff was extremely accommodating. We had our clothes washed as well as our car while we were here. Our room was of sufficient size with a beautiful covered sitting area outside. Our meals were well prepared and delicious. The creamy soups were especially creative and tasty. The evenings were a bit chilly. Upon retiring to bed after dinner we found hot water bottles under our blankets. The beds were very comfortable. The grounds were beautiful and our room was bug free. Wi-Fi was good but only in the dining/lounge area.

The stuff was very friendly and helpful. When we arrived we told them that we wanted to see Ngorongoro and Tarangire and Serengeti and even though we didn't plan ahead they made everything possible for us and our Guide was also very helpful and we enjoyed our stay. The food was also very tasty.

IrelandOwner was very kind and checked us in very late. The room was very clean and very comfortable mattress and four pillows on the double bed which was a nice touch. The sleep was very comfortable. The owner helped us a lot because we forgot to pay for camping fee for our safari and he made a lot of effort to go to the bank for us to make the payment in the morning so we can enter the park. I highly recommend staying there. The food was very good too.

South AfricaThis is a well situated lodge on the road out from Karatu to Mto Wambu. Its a bit away from the bussle and noise of the town but close enough to get to restaurants in Karatu. The staff were wonderful, helpful and friendly always willing to help and the rooms were very comfortable. As a modestly priced lodge there are no fancy frills, but its clean, comfortable and convenient and we would certainly recommend it to friends and fellow travelers

BelgiumPayment can only be made in cash, so is a slight problem, if you are relying on credit cards or debit cards for payment. Luckily nearby banks have ATMs, so local currency can be obtained.
Ideal location for both Ngorogoro Crater and Lake Manyana. All staff are very polite, friendly and professional . A very good breakfast is served every day, lunch boxes can be provided for lunch and evening meal can be provided. We will certainly return in the future.
