There was a bad smell coming from the bathroom but only after you showered. You can’t drink in the apartment which I do understand to keep the noise down and given the culture.

The apartments are location in a great area in Stone Town! The rooms were clean and spacious. The AC is a must when in that heat and we appreciated it so much. Great you can access all the amenities at the Tempo Hotel.

Breakfast could've been better - not enough glasses, cutlery, bowls, mugs or milk. The beds were very hard and short.

Very clean, big apartment with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Air conditioning worked well in both bedrooms. Liked the old school feel of the main hotel building, it was well decorated and looked after.

Place was very noisy, not possible to sleep till 2 pm.

We like that it was very central, but next time we would choose Tembo hotel.

While the rooms were clean, we did find a cockroach in the bathroom which can be expected in larger cities. The ensuite bathroom had little privacy with just a shower curtain between it and the bedroom and a screen window between it and the kitchen/living area.

Location was great and the use of the Tembo Hotel facilities added to the experience. The AC in the bedrooms worked well to cool down the whole apartment.

There is nothing special about the hotel itself. It was clean and comfy. The main reason we stopped there is because of the historical value - Freddie Mercury House. Highly recommended for the Queen's fans:)

We stayed in Freddy mercury apartments which was right next to a busy alleyway which unfortunately got extremely noisy from about 5am onwards…traders, waste collection. Also on one occasion a tourist came up and walked into our room while we were in it, very busy with tourists outside taking photos…(learn to lock your door if in this apartment)!

Very centrally located, with good pools, great food and excellent breakfast.

The four poster beds were too high so difficult to get in and out of. We were in the Freddie Mercury apartments which were spacious but noisy as they were on the main street and the locals “chatting” were noisier than the traffic.

Property could use a bit of updating. Bedding and bathrooms were quite dated. The buildings are old so no elevator is possible, but t would be nice for them to try and attempt this. It would make a stay for those with disabilities easier and the porters wouldn’t have to struggle with luggage so much.

A rustic property. Great service, decent breakfast, right in the heart of stone town. It’s right on the water and walking distance of everything in stone town.

The apartment is in the heart of an stone town. This is an absolutely different feeling to live in a Freddie Mercury's Home. The furniture and atmosphere not modern, but absolutely in Africanian (Morocco) style. Definitely to live in Tembo Hotel more comfortable than in apartments, but it worth it.

I wish there were an indoor restaurant and more than one bathroom stall. Hard to be at the pool or eating breakfast/lunch and only have access to one bathroom for everyone.

the apartments seemed dusty The bed sheets made me itch. The ceiling fan was blocked by top base of the 4 poster bed so it was extremely hot The ac didn’t work. If I knew we had to go across the road to the main hotel for breakfast every morning, I would never have booked here as it just wasn’t convenient for us. The back n forth wasn’t fun. It also didn’t say anything about being in a separate building to the actual hotel

We had separate bedrooms Hotel security Their efforts to put things right. Hotel security guy helped me with new bed sheets & Ice for my swollen feet at 2am morning. I requested if I can shift over to the main hotel but they fully booked but did their best to make me more comfortable. I Central Location
