Breakfast buffet was poor quality; we opted to eat breakfast outside the hotel.

Location excellent, very central and easy to access landmarks. Hotel was very traditional, well-presented and clean. Staff were excellent; very supportive and helpful. Room was spacious and the outdoor shower was nice.

A beautiful old building with lots of nice decorations in the middle of Stone Town. The room was nice with three Zanzibarian beds. There is a nice swimming pool and nice views from the top terrace. The breakfast was included and nice.

I would have liked a stronger wifi connection in the room and hotel. My television also would not connect to the internet or my phone so we did not get to utilize this. The Air Conditioning also did not circulate well throughout the room so the bathroom was very hot and humid to use.

The location was ideal to access Stone Towns major attractions and the water front. The staff here are very kind and friendly, they truly made our stay exceptional and went above and beyond. Breakfast is my favourite meal and it was nice to see they switched up items daily. Masala chai and iced coffees were so good!

We couldn't find a thing we didn't like. The hotel was the best choice for us ladies. And not so "hype" as other hotels with the same style.

The location is good and practical for those who've neve been to Stone Town before. Easy to find directions to other areas in town. Rooms as nice as before, with these old furnitures. Was staying at Dhow Palace several years ago. Nice breakfast in a nice area, and a smiling staff both in the reception, houskeeping and in the restaurant.

Very traditional styled hotel. Very comfortable room with fan and air conditioning, balcony overlooking internal courtyard with pool. Good breakfast choice with all kinds of items including selection of wonderful home made jams. Just a few minutes walk to the beach and at the heart of the touristy shopping experience, Nice ambience around the pool and a second courtyard, full of antiques and a lift to upper floors at the back of the building,

Our room was situated at the pool side and just above the kitchen of the restaurant, therefore it was very noisy in the morning (at breakfast time) and evening (till over midnight) as visitors were discussing at the pool side.

The location, style and design of the hotel was very nice and did surprise us.

The AC did not work into the room we booked. 30°C inside and outside. The smell inside the room and inside the bathroom was bad. Arriving at 11 PM, with a lot of luggage, it was not easy to move to an other building were the AC worked, after trying 40-50 min to fix the AC. They do not have elevator to all rooms. 2 boys helped us for a tips.

The restaurant (we had only breakfast), the building.
