Looking for breakfast is a bit of scavenger hunt, we were not told it can be somewhere else then the rooftop;) luckily we just missed 1 breakfast During 3 days stay we have not have any cleaning done (which is ok) but some extra toilet paper would be nice (1 extra roll at least)

Electricity black outs many but it’s not guesthouse’s fall. They have some problems with they own generator too and no electricity all time. Wifi dosn’t work well all the time.

Hostel staff was nice and place are security. Poor and pretty small rooms but nice bathroom with hot water. Very Simple breakfast on the roof terrace. Gursthouse are nice but faraway from city. Motobikes and taxis running.

Very friendly staff, clean and spacious rooms, shower has good water pressure. Airco and WiFi are available. The food is delicious and home cooked. Had a lovely stay.

Very good position not far from Oyster Bay (10 minutes by bajaji or pikipiki) and close to Kawe. The room was clean and had a mosquito net for the beds, breakfast was perfect on the roof top terrace of the hostel. The atmosphere is warm and Roberta is very friendly, she even organized a dinner with other guests, which made the experience totally worth it.

Nice welcoming atmosphere and staff, that's one of the most important point for an out of home stay. You feel safe and welcomed being able to be free. Nice clean room with AC. Wonderful rooftop, to relax and chill with a nice wind blowing. Ohh... and the food you can order to eat on the rooftop - kitamu sana - delicious!!!

The rooftop lounge could be more comfortable to hang out, wifi was not good everywhere, breakfast elements like omelet offered even at additional cost would be an upgrade.

Roberta is a great host, has simple but very ample rooms, clean, great value for money, and location, rooftop lounge and food court. Breakfast is basic and morning sunshine was good too. Dinner option exists and it's very good home made food, at unbeatable cost. Laundry service great and quick as I had to part in a hurry. exceptional. I will go back. Plus you only met cool guests, explorers, obviously many Italians which added to the charm and soul. Breakfast included. The building was kind of colonial era style. the place had its charm.

The fact that they say they accept credit cards and then add a 3% surcharge when you pay with it – they should communicate this clearly that credit cards are only accepted with a surcharge.

The terrace is quite wonderful when you step out of the room.

Food was mixed - chicken and rice was fine but others esp pasta/western was bland and needed much more seasoning.

It was peaceful being out of central Dar but had everything needed. Didn’t serve beer but could buy in the shop opposite if wanted

They were helpful as I came in super late and left quite early in the morning. They accommodated my needs well and were super polite and pleasant. I'd recommend them for short stays.

The WiFi didn't work on the terrace. And breakfast table was pre-set for all guests in one table. Even if that is nice to boost communication between guests it is not super pleasant if you are on a "solo day" and actually need to go to the table and take your things to a different table. The curtains in the room could also be improved, as there is a lot of light coming in early morning.

The bathroom was spacious and water was nicely hot. The breakfast was delicious and staff was very friendly. I also really enjoyed the location, removed from the expat bubbles but still close to everything needed.

I loved everything about the place. Location is great, in neigbourhood Mikocheni, very safe area and only 15min far by bajaji from Coco Beach. Breakfast is tasty and everyday different. Rooms are big and very clean and also toilet inside with hot water ;) you can also have dinner there for 15000 tzs and laundry for 10000tzs. Is a piece of heaven in the middle of chaotic Dar es Salam!

Excellent budget accommodation. The staff is great, helpful and welcoming and the management is full of (great) advice to travelers. Rooms are basic, but clean with mosquito nets, fan and A/C, hot shower, and very strong WiFi (in the room). The location is very peaceful/safe and is also very convenient for researchers or students willing to stay for a longer period of time. Last, there is a very nice view on Dar from the rooftop.
