Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

TaiwanProbably the worst hotel I've ever stayed in in my life. I'm not exaggerating how terrible it is. I stayed in the Standard double room. As soon as I entered the room I felt depressed. It looks like it is about 100 years old. I felt like I was in a horror movie. The floor feels spongy and sticky. Everything is covered in dust and filth. The TV and AC unit are so ancient they belong in a museum. The bathroom mirror was stained. The shower is bi-polar: One moment it is scalding hot and the next moment it is too cold. I couldn't sleep for more than an hour as there is a huge mosquito problem. The staff do not provide any mosquito repellent at all. So the only option is to hide under the quilt of your "double bed" (it's actually two single beds pushed together... Everything is so cheap and lazy here). But under the covers is too hot so let's turn on the extremely old and extremely dusty AC unit. Well, the AC is weak and takes hours to cool the room. So all night long you will be bitten and hot and feeling extremely stupid for wasting your hard earned money on this ripoff of a hotel. Avoid this hotel like the plague. It's really worse you can imagine.
That I only had to stay 1 night.

TaiwanThis is the worst hotel ever stayed. No parking arranged and the front desk couldn't even speak clealy. Nothing professional of the hotel that I could've thought of. If the price range is below 30 USD, then I'll say it's fair. However, the hotel charge over 150 USD per night with careless attitude of managing the place. Please, spare some mercy to the tourists. Pause before you really take it as a business.
