The hotel front and lobby is beautiful. Staff were helpful and sitting area very comfortable. Rooms were outdated but clean. The AC never worked very well but window had net so we could keep the window open at night. The pools looked really nice and wish we had time to use them.

Some power outlets were defect, the indoor pool was cold. Breakfast could have been more varied. Building and outdoor spaces could use some maintenance.

Appropriate for a 1- or 2-night stay at the gateway to the Sahara. No luxury but clean and equipped with all necessary things. Good value for money.

Some facilities are not renovated in quite some time - like hammam, but it is still decent for relax.

We liked that property is located in the vicinity of the desert so it was easy to start with the tours early in the morning. The staff is nice and the breakfast is plentiful.

The WiFi isn’t great in the rooms and the facilities are a bit outdated. The food was also just okay.

It was located well and the price is not bad! Good for a launching point for desert adventures. We had already booked a desert trip with Saharan Sky, but I think the hotel has people who offer cheaper options if that would be of interest (cannot attest to what they include though). But overall seemed safe and was a decent stay in the desert!

The ventilation in the room is terrible. The towels smell as if they were used to dry camels. The setting in the room is very outdated. Wifi connection in the room is bad. There is only one free power socket in the room, and not close to the bed (in the hall).

The lobby is very beautiful. The bar on the first floor is very nice and relaxing. The barman vey nice. However, advertising can be a bit better, because we only found this bar on the third day. Location is great, close to the sahara desert and at a few minutes driving from Douz centre.

The property is tired and needs a bit of tlc. We had no towels in our room upon arrival and had to go to reception to ask. The towels were clean but they were those 60’s brown towels with bleach stains on them. The pool is clean although there is slimy moss growing on the bottom. It didn’t bother me and I still spent ample time in the pool. Our room didn’t have a fridge to keep your water in and you also don’t receive water in your room. As mentioned before , still worth staying here for a night before going to the dessert.

The staff were great, they helped us organize a Sahara Dessert trip at short notice and at a decent price. Not like other hotels where they overcharge tourists. We stayed here as it is close to the dessert. Many tour groups use this hotel as a budget friendly stay over. The food was good with a big selection and the staff were always around to help if you needed anything. I do believe it is one of the better hotels in the area although you feel like you’ve stepped into a 1960’s movie set. For a budget friendly option with easy access to the Sahara I can recommend staying here. Their pool is also open 24hrs for those who enjoy a late night swim and they allowed us to store our luggage while we went on our Sahara excursion. There is a great coffee shop right behind the hotel with excellent WiFi.

When I paid in euro the price was higher than a price confirmed via booking.com (also in euro). And it's not about additional tax. Breakfast without descriptions, I asked a cook if a hot meal is without meat, he confirmed, but there was meat.
