Everything was fantastic. Really authentic tunisian hotel. Restaurant had excellent food at good prices. And the staff was exceptional. Aziz especially gets a special mention for going far out of his way to assist and guide me to a few different locations, even during his off hours.

The staff! They were all very helpful in all aspects possible. The room was nice and the location in a nice part of the medina excellent Busy part but evening quiet. Breakfast times flexible to suit the traveler and not the other way around. And it was delicious with excellent coffee as well. Would happily come back here again.

The staff was the most helpful. Made breakfast the way we wanted it, took pictures for us, and walked us to places by foot if we were scared of getting lost or it being too late. A BIG Thanks to Nawras, Mohamed, and Sammy for taking care of us as we were their family!

The Dar is so beautiful and historical, it's such a beautiful place. The staff are so really nice and helpful.. The rooms are great, big and comfy. They have everything. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and we tried the restaurant for dinner and it was our best meal in Tunisia. Thanks so much !

Location wise it was difficult to get to in a car. Since the hotel is in the heart of the souk, we were dropped off at a certain point and had to walk to the hotel with our luggage which was quite inconvenient. Having said that, it could have been the way the layout of the souk was designed.

The hotel staff were very pleasant and polite. The room was very clean and tidy, the breakfast was delicious and the hotel is only 20 minutes from the airport.

Just to say something, the night staff wasn’t as gentle. Our flight was delayed and he complained for us arriving later than expected, though we had sent a message saying we would arrive a bit later

Everything was perfect! We really wish we could have stayed longer. The pictures don’t even show how nice the place and the rooms are. The staff was extremely kind. Everything was very clean and well cared for. Location is perfect to explore Tunis medina. Breakfast is very abundant and varied. mostly sweet stuff, but we asked for savoury and we were brought some eggs. Not sure if it includes shakshuka - we thought it didn’t because ee didn’t receive it, but then we saw others eating it. In any case, the breakfast is a lot of food, so we suggest asking what it includes so you can choose what you want and enjoy it :)

As it was so traditional and old house, there was a slight gap even when you close the door or window so that you get some noice from outside and light.

Staff were always friendly and attentive. Very beautiful traditional Arabic house style. Free water bottle, welcome drink and fruits on the first day. Quite big breakfast.

We stayed just one night and we missed some more space to put off and open our suitcases, maybe it was only the case in the room we had.

Great location for Medina lovers, traditional and modern mixed in a very good way, wonderful team, helpful and kind, nothing was difficult or impossible: they served us late dinner in their restaurant after closing hours, negotiated the price with Bolt driver after we told them wevpayed double the Bolt price for drive from airport to Medina!! And we got a small goodbbuy gift. Felt nice.

The staff was very kind and available, Always welcoming with a smile (and a lemonade glass :D). The hotel taxi service, made by the driver Arbin, was excelent! He took us visiting all the Carthage sites and to the Airport for a really low fare! The best in the city (James Bond :D) I raccomand calling him by the hotel!

The dinner menu was a bit underwhelming, half the things they didn't have.

The location is perfect, hotel is very clean and beautiful. The room was so cosy with a very nice balcony overlooking the courtyard. Everything is only a few minutes walk away. The staff were so polite and helpful. Lovely experience.

That we had to eventually check out.

What an incredible stay! From the warm, welcoming staff and their generosity to the perfect location of the facility. The breakfasts were divine and the dinners were warm, hearty and full of love. The rooms were spotless and tastefully designed. An incredible view of Tunis can be had from the rooftop terrace as well as a lovely nap or sun session from there as well. I truly cannot say enough good things about the Dar El Medina.

The internet did not work in my room. The room faced a courtyard (which was part of said ambience) but the smells from the kitchen and, particularly, the smoking made it to my room.

Ambience. And location. The food was good too (which means, contrary to Tunisian practice, the tea and cereal were not sweetened) and there were vegetarian and even vegan options.

The wifi in the room was slow and patchy at times.

Wonderful hotel. Very unique and characterful in the heart of the Medina. Large and tastefully decorated rooms. Delicious breakfast. Staff very friendly and helpful, though service a little slow on occasion (but they were very busy due to Ramadan). Overall highly recommended - thank you!

Was a bit tricky the first few times parking the rental car in the Kasbah car park, but we eventually got used to it. The bathroom needs a drain as a we managed to flood it with water as the shower was a bit tricky in the narrow bath.

We really enjoyed our stay at the beautiful Dar El Medina for about a week. It was our introduction to Tunisia, to Tunis & the to the Tunis Medina. The staff were wonderful, (and most spoke English), the breakfast was amazing (although too much food!) and the view from the rooftop courtyard was spectacular. We loved being so close to the Souk and visited the markets often.

A Wonderful Experience, thanks to the incredibly accommodating and friendly staff. The historic authenticity and location in the medina. Our spacious, upgraded room included not only a large bedroom but a fully cushioned room for sitting and walking around shoeless.

The pillows on the bed weren’t great. Otherwise it was good.

Great location and beautiful old building with many gorgeous little tea rooms. The front desk woman, Nada, was absolutely wonderful. The restaurant was good (not amazing, but good) and the included breakfast every morning was plentiful, delicious, and tasty!

If you are sensitive to some scents, then do a snif test before using any of the products. They are all natural, which is good but be avare, as i used something, that was for washing hands and it smelled like septic. Very strong scent that i could get off only with perfumed handsanitezer. The shower gel also had a milder version of the scent, but the shampoo was okay. I'm not sure what traditional herb has that scent, but just check it before using if you are sensitive to certain scents. For the included breakfast you can not choose your options, everyone gets served the same thing, it looked very good, but it can be problematic if you dont eat bread and eggs, but the porrige and pancake was nice.

Very friendly staff. We were able to organize a late checking as we flew in at night and if you are not sure yet how to use taxi and buses (very cheap)then the hotel offers to organize a pick up from airport for 15eur (just make sure you have them ir paper, if not the driver can take dinars.) Great location for checking old town and market. The breakfast is being served as a restorant style. The hotel has a beautiful style and a great place for photos, with private cortyards and lounge areas. At the end ofseason, when it still gets cold, there is an electric heater in the room, and we did use it(end of February, beging of March)
