Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

LuxembourgFacilities are a bit dated and could use a facelift, however grounds and pools were clean and gym and sports equipment were new. Breakfast menu a bit samey after a few days but probably due to the low numbers of guests at the time we went (it's not high season). If you have special needs (milk alternatives, gluten free bread), bring your own - it's an island after all. Drinks at the bar and restaurant food were quite expensive. In the evenings we enjoyed walking down the beach at low tide and having dinner at one of the beachside restaurants if we did not want dinner in the restaurant. In all, nothing to complain about. We'd be happy to come back.
Great location at the quiet end of the island, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the private beach strip free of boats and hearing the wind and exotic birds. Family friendly atmosphere. Manager Axel and his staff were very friendly and helpful in meeting all of our needs. Khun Art will make you a great omelette with fresh chili in the morning - he's also a great info source if you plan to travel to other parts of the country. Ask for the coconut shake! Plunge pool villas were great for cooling off in the abnormally high temperatures. Fantastic views of the sunset every evening!

Australiano shade at the main pool. food was only average. a long way from any shops. no entertainment and very little onsite activities. there was broken glass in the sand outside the resort - thought someone would pick it up - but didn't. private pool didn't get cleaned while we were there and the algae build up could be felt on the bottom and sides of the pool. The atmosphere was very thick with smoke and smog - not the resort's fault, but I definitely won't be visiting Koh Samui again in January.
private pool was great. Thai massage onsite was superb. Kayaking was great. Staff were very friendly, but not very knowledgable about things to do at Koh Samui.

United KingdomLocation was not the great. You have to get a taxi or scooter to leave and there isn’t much around. The town nearby closes early as it’s not busy. Quite a drive to Chaweng which is the main area.
Grounds were very nice. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was a good size. Full length mirror. Rent scooter from reception. Two pools very good size. Beach beautiful. Best hotel for sunsets!

AustraliaBeach had a lot of litter strewn around, juices at breakfast were not chilled, room air conditioner didn't work one night, undercooked chicken for dinner. People should not be permitted to smoke in the restaurant - it's hard enough to breathe in Koh Samui (due to the high smog levels) if you're asthmatic, but when there is smoke too it makes it very uncomfortable. Big pools didn't have any shade around them. We had to pay fixed price to go down the road 8 minutes for 400 Baht - should have been free or much less. We were there for 5 days and the pool wasn't once cleaned - the bottom and sides got quite slimey.
private pool, great variety at breakfast (especially fruit), spacious rooms, comfortable bed, fantastic masseuse (Patty), friendly and happy staff, happy hour

United KingdomA little bit isolated especially of an evening, fisherman’s village is around a 35 minute drive away and cost around 600 BHT which wasn’t overly expensive but may hinder some people.
The pool and private beach were amazingly quiet, bar provided a happy hour and there was a good standard gym for a hotel. The spa was of good value and it is easy to walk the whole complex in under 10 mins for those who struggle on their feet.

Belgium- the bar in the evening was not convincing you to stay and have a drink. Some adjustments can make a difference in making people stay in the resort ( e.g. pool table, happy hour,…)

NetherlandsThe only downside is that it is located a little further away from the touristic areas, but still douable if taking a taxi or renting a scooter.
This is a place where you truly can relax after travelling around in Thailand. The resort is locates 30 minutes from the airport in a peaceful environment. The staff is very kind and always up for a chat or help you with questions. If you want something arranged as going places they will help you with a taxi. As for the neighbourhood it is further from the touristic places but is has some nice restaurants located just walking distance from the resort, or if you want to stay in you can have dinner at the restaurant at the resort.

United KingdomSometimes the drains smelt, and both pools were closed which we didn't know prior to booking.
We stayed towards the end of June 2023, and we were in the 'off season' and it felt like we had the whole resort to ourselves!! Both pools were under construction but they looked lovely. The bar staff (What) was lovely and couldn't recommend him enough - he was so interested and caring really makes a difference!

FranceNo activity (was before the peak period) and the restaurant is good but expensive. In the end we stayed the morning to practice sports, have breakfast and enjoy the swimming pool but then used scooters to move to other places the afternoons and evening. Would have been great to have a few activities + snooker at the resort
