Need the card in to turn on WiFi so room was hot when you came back after a day in the city. Room was very small so not much space for 2 people and backpacks. Breakfast is basic but was perfect for us (toast and jam, coffee, cereal and fruit)

Very close to all main tourist attractions but in a quiet area. Good air con. Bed comfortable with a nice shower and toiletries and coffee included. Very handy to have refillable water.

I was put into a room where the WiFi didn't work at all, as it only had one bar of service. The air conditioning either needed to be cleaned or repaired, because I ran it at full blast on the lowest setting and the room was still so hot that I was sweating. The batteries in the TV remote were dead. I wasn't charged with anything, but there is an intimidating list of fineable offenses posted on the door for dirty towels and furniture, and the fees are quite unreasonable. All of these things combined are indications of a subpar place to stay unfortunately, even though he hostess was incredibly kind and helpful and welcoming.

The staff member walked me from reception to the accommodation in another building, which was very kind. She also held my bags until the room was ready and took the time to explain everything I needed to know.

The suite is only a double room (see photo) so not sure why you pay extra for it. The room is a perfectly decent double room so maybe it is a bit nicer than the advertised doubles but I don't know for sure.

Not a complaint but a warning to others not to make the same mistake as me - use the address provided by Booking.com and don't just Google Map '4J Lodge' as this takes you to the completely wrong address.

Perfect location! It’s right by a bunch of great places to eat and drink on the canal. Clean and comfy room. I have no idea why this place has any bad reviews! Their instructions were super clear and easy to understand. Great find for Bangkok.

When i arrived (at 2pm) nobody was there and i had to call 2 numbers until somebody showed up. I missed breakfast at the first day (its only until 10) and for the second day I asked if i could have something to go instead as I needed to go to the airport early. They said they'd make me a sandwich but I didnt and when I came down at 7:45 (15 minutes before breakfast starts) there was again nobody. A nightstand would be helpful.

The wifi situation from our flow didn't really work it was quite slow or kept disconnecting.

Amazing location, so close to local shops, markets and Ko San road! Room was clean and comfortable with fresh sheets and towels with working TV and air con. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. downside was the bathroom had a block drainage system meaning you couldn’t shower properly as the shower water overflowed, we tried to report this during our stay though messenger but didn’t get a response.
