Good option but not in the city center!

It is far away from the city center.

The hotel was nice and the breakfast area at the rooftop really cool, even thought the buffet was really limited.

Room small at the back of the hotel-was quite dark. Might be worth going for a room upgrade. But don’t let this comment put you off it’s a beautiful place

Architect designed, beautifully, decorated, wonderful ambient, great staff

During my stay, I overheard a man yelling at the staff so condescendingly that I got up to intervene before it resolved naturally. Turns out this was the directeur of the hotel. The way he was acting to them was shameful, speaking as if they were children who couldn’t follow directions.

Staff were very attentive and extremely helpful, especially in organizing transportation and keeping a comfortable hotel. Very beautiful space.

There was a communication issue with the hotel prior to my arrival. However, we were able to arrange an airport transfer after midnight. The location on the Corniche is somewhat distant from Dakar's principal tourist sights, but nothing is very far if you take taxis.

The hotel seems somewhat "upmarket" with distinctive architecture and furnishings and a nice roof top terrace for breakfast. Great views over the water from there. I wasn't there during the day, but it seemed that there might be facilities for business meetings. The amenities in the room were quite nice: a fridge, wall AC, and a desk. A separate shower room from the basin and toilet. Breakfast was good.

Wish they had more change for large bills. And a microwave in the room. Otherwise it was great!

Small things but we asked if our twin beds could be set as a double bed which reception said it's fine but it never happened. We stayed for 4 nights and the towels weren't changed once.

Beautiful building, you can see they put a lot of thought in it. The roof terrace for breakfast is lovely and also the restaurant/bar one floor down. The room was nice and quiet. Good mattress.

The cold breakfast did the job but the selection of bread and pastries was quite limited.

A lovely property with a beautiful courtyard and comfortable beds. Rooms were impeccably clean. Breakfast was a bit basic, though the seaviews from the rooftop terrace were lovely.

The white paint on the bathroom walls came off on your clothes due to the narrow space around the toilet. We were excited to hear there was a jazz bar downstairs but there was no music during our stay

Stylish, great food in the rooftop restaurant and friendly and helpful staff. Nice views from the rooftop. Large and comfortable bed. Able to change money at reception. Good location for exploring the city

The location meant that I was obliged to take taxis. It's central Dakar but not that walkable to sites.

    - Beautiful hotel from an architectural standpoint. Comfortable rooms with hot showers and fast WiFi. There's a great view from the breakfast terrace overlooking the seafront. Helpful staff despite me practicing my (out of practice) French on them!

Sound travels horribly in the hotel. You can hear everything happening outside your room as if your door was open. My only other issue was the WiFi. It was spotty and dropped often. However, when I complained, they were kind enough to upgrade my stay to a room with a stronger connection. The phone in my upgraded room did not work. The dial tone button was stuck. So anything I needed like housekeeping, I would have to go down to reception for.

It was a gorgeous space! The architecture and design was the highlight. They have a lift available but the stairs were just as convenient. The rooftop kitchen made delicious food. And their wait staff was amazing and attentive.

Just a suggestion: please find a way to cover up the bread and pastries during breakfast. It's very off-putting and unhygienic the amount of flies I saw on the food.

Lovely decorated hotel, with good staff. Alexia at the front desk was especially helpful.

The rooms are not very soundproof, and you can hear a lot of what is happening in front of your room door/the courtyard. additional small things like making sure the doors are oiled so they don't make a loud screech noise when opening would be recommended.

Nice building and I would say the best value for money in Dakar overall

    A comforatbel hotel with charecter

    Nothing really

The location was pretty good - not right in the middle of the town but on the see front opposite the market which made for an interesting walk. The hotel itself was nice - it had quite a bit of charecter rather than being just another sterile chain hotel. WiFi was very good and the room was comfortable and clean. We only had hot water for the last few days but I suspect this was a technical issue that was resolved. The staff were in general very friendly and pretty accomodating with the exception of one guy on the front desk at night who was anything but helpful. Food was good - more French than local although the chef did cook us a very good thieboudiene - the open air roof top bar/restaurant area was really nice - no pool, but this would have been impossible given the location
