Nothing not to like about La Belle Etoille. My only recommendation is that the access road to the location should be paved. That's for the town of Saly to do, though.

Location - it is a little out of the main part of the town so transport is advisable. We were there towards the end of the rainy season so the road just outside was understandably muddy with large puddles after heavy rain.

Amazing staff that worked there. They absolutely made the stay. Very helpful above and beyond what you would normally expect. They genuinely wanted you to enjoy your stay. The pool area was clean, comfortable and relaxed.

Internet was unreliable at times but that was probably the universe telling us to relax and not do any work :)

Our stay was a very welcome break from our usual daily routines and just what we needed to unwind. Very quiet and very peaceful atmosphere. Staff were all fantastic and saw to it that all our requirements were met. On one evening we couldn't get our usual taxi to the beach and the owner of the personally dropped us off there. That was a lovely touch. On another day we fancied some local food that was not on their menu and we had been told it's unavailable. To our pleasant surprise the chef later prepared it for us and it was so delicious. At times it felt we were the only guests there.

The dinner menu could have been a bit better. We tried it during the first night and it was okay, but nothing special. But on the plus side, the dishes were big!

Hotel was very pretty and relevantly small, but suited us very well. It was really beautiful place and our room was like a dream! The staff was very helpful and kind which made our stay even more delightful. Pool area was also very calm and peaceful for laying around and for enjoying the sun. And the Wi-Fi worked very well so that was a big plus! :) For the breakfast I liked that on the second morning, the staff had made a buffet where you can pick up the food you want yourself, instead of brining everything to the table and then basically there is a lot of more waste when you can't eat everything you have on the table.

The staff was exceptional. They were very kind and receptive. The way the room is designed is excellent, you get a back door straight to the pool. They even gave us a free flight to see saly from the sky. It was wonderful

it is a bit expensive for the offer. no ocean access - in fact you forget that you are even near the ocean, jacuzzis in the room did not work, the decor could be much improved

The only minor thing is the lower pressure of the shower and talking to the landlord it seems that this will get addressed. Mainly due to some maintenance projects being paused due to Covid.

The location was fabulous. Great place to escape from work routine. The staff is sympathetic, listening, and adapted to our needs. They did connect us with a local safe and reliable driver for our downtown commuting. The food is tasty. We also took a massage session and benefited from the magic hands of Germaine. I literally fell asleep at the end, very professional, clean, and relaxing. If you are seeking a calm, quiet place - we highly recommend it and will not hesitate to come back.
